Not sure why, but a lot of people told us to come here. Said we'd "have to wait" because "there's always a line," which we did--about 45 minutes. Being new to Tucson from Texas, I asked the waitress what their most popular dishes were. She...More

I decided to try Mi Nidito on a recent visit to Tucson, to see what all the fuss was about. I will check this off the list now. There are better Mexican restaurants all over Tucson, without the hype and the long wait. The food...More

Food seems more Americanized Mexican but was good and a fun place to go because it is so popular. The wait on a Monday night at 6:30 was about 40 minutes

This is a very popular Mexican restaurant and there is a reason for that - it is that good. The seating space is small, the parking tight but the food, my mouth still waters as I write this. I like Mexican food and these guys...More

This is my favorite restaurant in Tucson. I visit occasionally and always find a way to go here. Very authentic. Be ready to wait for a table, but it is worth the wait. I haven't seen anything on plates that doesn't look delicious.

We did not care for the food. The sauce on the enchilada tasted canned. The chicken salad had too much lime and the shredded lettuce watered it down. It was like mush. The ice tea was good and service was great.

My wife and I have lived in Tucson since 1979. As one can imagine, after a few years, you've pretty much tried most Mexican restaurants in town (if you like the cuisine that is). In the early days, eating at Mi Nidito was worth the...More

Had to check out this place for its history. Not only did Clinton stop here but as shown in the restaurant many other famous people. We sat at the presidential table which is named for President Clinton’s visit. Food was ok. Margarita was pretty good....More

This restaurant was recommended by our motel. Very glad they did. Our server, Evelyn, was very helpful. I was thinking of having the Nopalito (Prickly Pear Cactus) enchilada. She brought me a tasting and saved me from a meal I would not have enjoyed. We...More

As Tegedder mentioned, most items on the Mexican food menu are GF with those exceptions. I'd like to add chile rellenos to the avoid list.
