We've tried Tucson Tamale on two occasions (and from two different stores) and both times we've been puzzled by the rave reviews. Two points: these tamales do not come cheap (I understand there is labor involved, but still); and the masa is so thick that...More

Went while visiting Tucson for a couple of days. I see why they won best tamales in Tucson a few times. Happy staff and multiple tamale options with quick service. Also, excellent price for what you get. Certainly worth checking out if you like tamales.

Tucson Tamale Company is a great place to have a quick delicious lunch with choices of different tamales and sides. The food is totally fresh and the staff is really nice. Both locations are great at Tanque Verde and also on Broadway.

It doesn't look like the same place but, if it is they have the freshest Mexican tortilla's available. I think that they sell to the stores around town! Great place!

The tamales here are legendary in Tucson. I have not eaten here, but I have had their "takeout" tamales, and they are fantastic!

Great to hear! We have not only hot take-out tamales but also frozen 2-packs so you can keep them on hand and have them anytime.

More varieties of tamales than I though possible. The ones I've tried so far have all been excellent. The decor is stylish but straightforward. It's far from "fine dining": you eat here for the food, not the ambience. Takeout is available and you can get...More

Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit Bert. And yes, you can get your tamales hot to eat in, take home, or frozen for later; something for everyone's dining needs.

I've had their tamales on two different occasions, the first, during a catered event at the Kiewet Center (UA College of Medicine) and the other when the honey and I did dinner and a movie. The good: generous portions, and if you get the two-tamale...More

The masa for the tamales tastes like fresh masa, but the chips and the tamale fillings ruined the meal. I came here several times, and my friends just did not care about what I found special. Sorry, but some people care about the side dishes.

Good prices and a good tamale. I loved their fixings bar. Decided to visit this Restaraunt based on top trip advisor ranking. Found it a good place with good food at a good price, but I am unsure why it ranked number one in the...More

No , you don't have to be from Tucson (or the southwest ) to know what a good tamale is. It's like New York bagels and pizza. Copied but never quite the same. The best tamales do not come from Tucson Tamale FACTORY, but... More

Limited basic beer and wine menu but enough choices to be acceptable. The place is small and not fancy so not an extensive wine list. Worth the trip for the tamales though and I'm sure you can find a beer or wine that will... More

Have the traveler google Tucson Tamale's menu. I did have the pumpkin tamales and the one I had was a vegetable one--squash. I don't remember other than these that I sampled.
