I don't know the area well so maybe it's the going rate. The sushi was good. I tried a couple rolls and liked them both. The spicy rainbow was very good. It just seemed a little steep compared to other places I have been.

I go here every few months and it remains one of my favorite in ABQ. I find the atmosphere relaxing and the food consistently good. There are usually interesting specials. I would compare this to some of the better midrange restaurants in Chicago or LA.
Was excited to try sushi with green chili; less excited as the meal progressed and the service got worse. Dirty plates left on the table, then neither the waiter nor chef seemed sure of what they gave to us for dinner. Food was average.
I was a frequent diner here when it was Japanese owned. (I'm a sushi-snob, and only eat from authentic Japanese restaurateurs.) I'm happy to report that the new owner has kept the same high quality that the previous owner, Ono did. Worth a visit and...More

Was not sure what I would find here--the place was deserted because it was between terms at UNM and all of Central Avenue looked like a ghost town. That said, we were pleasantly surprised with the food here. My husband had tuna sashimi, my son had...More
The sushi took FOREVER. Not sure what the problem was. When it did come, it was just mediocre. The poor waitstaff was hustling and apologizing and trying hard, but couldn't make up for the other problems.
Service was a joke. Very confused wait staff, one took order but didn't submit it to the kitchen, the other had to play catch up and everything came at once. Prices are reasonable. Tempura was good, sushi just ok, no precise knife skills. I'd pass...More
