This place has been around for a long time now, since 1929 to be in fact. Been here a few times and get takeway quite often. This place does amazing Mexican food. Really good tacos, tamales, and enchiladas.

Everytime we visit El Modelo there is always a long line; however, the wait is worth having the best breakfast sopaipilla and tamales!!

Food was Fantastic! We ordered a sampler (#1) and that would have been enough for the 2 of us, but I ordered an additional Brisket & Green Chili Burrito and at that later. Everything was Freaking Fantastic!

traditionally, tamales do not contain wheat flour. check with the vendor/restaurant whether flour has been added to the masa.
