Stopped into our favorite neighborhood restaurant for a late dinner. Encountered two obnoxious over served bar patrons. During our entire meal they were taking and laughing way way too loud. The darn bartender was egging them on! Only two people in the entire bar area yet they were able to ruin the 7 booth couples in the dining area due... More

Whenever we have occasion to stay in Albuquerque, we visit this restaurant. Their food is fantastic and the service is great. We have never been disappointed. Their dessert Sopapillas with honey on top were excellent.

Cervantes is long established at this location and except for Christmas decorations the place is unchanged and that is how I like it. I've been visiting Cervantes for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. While I usually have some of the more traditional favorite dishes, I tried something different... More

Cervantes is definitely my favorite "New Mexican" in Albuquerque. The red chile is pretty hot and packed with flavor, the green is also good. Everything is fresh. The enchiladas are great. Chips come out warm and the salsa is incredible. Service is always quick and friendly. Interior is uniquely decorated as well.

Cervantes has been in this location for a long time. We frequented it when we lived in Albuquerque. They have great enchiladas, Carne adovada and other New Mexico Mexican dishes. Don't confuse the real Mexican food you get in New Mexico with the pale imitation Tex-Mex or Cal-Mex versions. The New Mexico Chili (red and green) is the real thing.... More

This was my first New Mexican food experience, so I can't pretend expertise. However, I enjoyed the old school feel of this restaurant, and the staff was very friendly. I got takeout once and then dined in once, and the food quality was the same both times. I love the sopapillas that come with the dinners. It was busy, so... More

The atmosphere puts you way back and makes you feel like you're eating in a traditional New Mexican restaurant. I had the Canes Avodada with a fried egg on top. So delicious! A must try! The waitress was awesome and gave us great tips since it was our 1st time visiting.

The place looks like you walked into a restaurant in the 80's. Brought me memories! The place was all decorated for St. Valentine's . It was really pretty and colorful. Our server was very good, Chuck. Food was good. Mexican food with the southwest flavors! The pozole as verymgood but very spicy hot.

We are so glad our hotel recommended this restaurant. It was quite busy but it never felt overcrowded. Waiter was a very helpful and explained some of dishes we were unfamiliar with. Food was very good, everything tasted fresh and homemade, the red chile sauce and carne adovada was a great new find!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we are glad they did. Place was packed but we were seated promptly. Waitress was a joy and the food was superb. Very welcoming place and everything is homemade down to the chile sauces.
