My wife and I were very pleased to find such an authentic, high quality Vietnamese restaurant in Albuquerque. We've been here many times in the past two years and are never disappointed. Among our favorite dishes are stuffed chicken wings (not available in many Vietnamese restaurants), spring rolls, mung bean crepe, cold papaya salad, chicken bun (not a sandwich but... More

Huong Thao has very good Pho, and excellent grilled pork and shrimp in noodle soup. Sadly no fortune cookies after dinner.

Where else could you get a spring roll with avocado and green chili? We didn't try that one, but maybe next time. We started with the spiced calamari, which was delicious and ample. My partner got the teriyaki beef, which was actually a very nice small steak served up with steamed rice and vegetables. I got the bean sprout crepe,... More

This delightful Vietnamese restaurant is tucked away in a non-descript strip mall on Juan Tabo Blvd. My wife and I have eaten here three times now, while visiting our son (and his family) who live in Sandia Park. They come here often for the awesome food, and also because our daughter-in-law has Celiac's and is extremely sensitive to gluten. Huang... More

Bland seafood soup. Must I add the soy sauce and hot pepper sauce on the table to create my own delicious qualities? How sad. The prefrozen seafoods were tasteless. The shrimp and squid were over cooked and rubbery. Scallops neutral. One mussel on the so so side. Would not return.

Good service. Good food. Great price. Large portions. I really enjoyed the noodle bowl and the calamari.

This has slowly but surely become my favorite overall Vietnamese spot in Albuquerque which, given that there are approximately 2.2 billion Vietnamese restaurants in the city, is saying something. Pho isn't really my thing, but I really like it here, the broth has an amazing depth of flavor and all the goodies mixed in are consistently delicious. But my favorite... More

All three of us were quite disappointed in our food. Soggy and bland flavor overall that seemed more of a Chinese style than the fresh and crisp Vietnamese food that we were expecting. $50.00 for the three of us with one beer each. We won't be back!

We go to Huang Thao every Sunday after church for their New Mexico Spring Rolls. They are amazing with just the right amount of crunch and southwestern bite. Although an appetizer, it is enough to satisfy our appetites. We get two very large spring rolls cut in half and the price is very reasonable. The Vietnamese iced coffee and the... More

Over the years I've consistently had good food and service from the restaurant. I love the Crepe stuffed with a variety of shrimp, pork & chicken. Have had the soups there and they're great. I think this is one of the best Vietnamese Restaurants that I've been too. There are a lot of hit and misses with Vietnamese food in... More
