Whenever I go to Albuquerque, I always try to eat at least one meal here. It's easy to get to from I-40, taking the Carlisle exit. They seem to always be open, even on holidays. The service is very good, the location is clean and well taken care of. The food is some of the best Indian I've ever had.... More

Their buffet was varied and delicious. Very flavor and not overwhelming. Provided two choices of Naan. Garlic and plain The complimentary side to this delicious meal was the price. A great value, Make it a point to enjoy the meal. Plenty of space too. No waiting and attentive staff.

When I come to Albuquerque this is where I go to eat. First stop always!!! The food is amazing! Where I'm from has no food even close to this. I am in awe of this place. The service is the greatest and the food is galactic!

Taj Mahal delivered solid performance with mixed appetizers (Bawachi Ki Pasand) and Ghost Saagwala with chicken. The garlic naan was just right; i.e., not too garlicky and piping hot. A selection of Indian and domestic beer as well as wine is available They do a buffet for lunch, which I would love to try. Sadly, there was no room for... More

My husband & I have lived all over Texas and have experienced some of the best Indian food there is to offer. We just moved to NM and decided to give this place a shot. It is no wonder that they have won so many awards, their food was excellent! The best Indian in Albuquerque!! Our waitress was extremely kind... More

We had dinner at the Taj Mahal because Indian food appealed to us that night. It turned out to be a good distance from our hotel but the food was so good, we were glad we had gone. I can't remember what my husband ate but it was beef and he really enjoyed it with a glass of wine. My... More

Went for dinner and the food was good and large portions. At least 7 waitstaff for a place with maximum seating of 50, four of the staff appeared to not have had any previous experience. With this many staff the owner was still the one to come and take orders. During entire meal no one came to ask how the... More

If you're unfamiliar with Indian food, the lunch buffet is the perfect way to be introduced to this amazing cuisine. There is a good variety of vegetable and meat dishes along with appetizer items like samosas - plus, you can get it to go as well (I easily end up with 2-3 meals when I do take out). The staff... This has been on our list to dine at and finally were in the area. We entered through a door with a canopy then went downstairs, then back up to the main dining area. A bit confusing - others used the (street) side door to enter. We were offered water right away and provided with the food and wine menus.... More

From a picky eater's perspective, my friend fell in love with this restaurant's authentic Indian food. We all did. The staff was exceedingly well-informed and friendly making the experience wonderful.
