We had heard a lot about this restaurant and had high hopes. Unfortunately, it did not quite live up to the hype. Nice atmosphere and the service is good. Both our meals, my wife's salmon and my tenderloin were both very undercooked. The caesar salad...More

I've had superior service experiences at Chili's. Two of the food items I ordered were burned (brussels sprouts appetizer and broccoli with my tenderloin). Waitress was nice, but lacked the professionalism and courtesy to handle the situation the way she should have. Manager came over...More

Went to meet a group the day before Valentines day. Service was slow and inattentive. My wife ordered the Filet, it was half a Filet. I ordered the Bronzino, it was overcooked. Portions are small, presentation is poor and the food quality is not at...More

Made reservations for a lady friend and her 11 year old daughter. Our waitress could not have better, an absolute sweetheart and really appreciated how well mannered my friends daughter was! It is impossible to list all the attributes our waitress has, charming, warm, kind,...More

I chose the Artichoke Café for my birthday celebration with my family. I made a reservation weeks in advance for a weeknight evening through Open Table with no issues. There is an attended parking lot right across the street. Since this was our first visit...More

This past Saturday evening's celebratory birthday dinner for my husband and I was both good and very disappointing. As requested by me when I made our reservations last week, we were given a very nice table. I had the pasta special of the evening and...More

This place will always hold a special spot in my heart, as this was where me and my husband met for our first date. He's a great fan of their steak and frites, and I of their roasted chicken. The ambience is charming, and the...More

Artichoke carries a great variety of food, and I would classify this as higher end dining for ABQ. Yes, they serve artichokes which is delish, and they also serve your usual variety of red and white meats, some vegetarian too. Service is excellent, and the...More

For fine dining in Albuquerque, this is definitely one of the best. I believe they are about to celebrate 30 years in business, and it's not hard to see why. The ambiance, the food, the cocktails, the service... all grade A!

Yes, our chefs are used to catering to dietary restrictions. I would suggest you make a note on your reservation, inform your waiter and he/she will let the kitchen know.

The Artichoke Cafe was reopened in 1989 by Pat and Terry Keene. Pat, who was formally trained in New York City, is executive chef and Terry has 30 years experience in restaurant management. Their dedication to the best in food, wine, and service has made this 120 seat restaurant one of Albuquerque's finest dining spots.

Its downtown location on Route 66 in the Historic Huning Highland/EDO District, cozy modern decor and rotating art exhibits add panache and charm to its ambience. The food is a mix of French, Italian, and creative American, using only the finest ingredients.
