Went there for lunch. Were seated immediately. We had calamari as appetizer which was very good. I had a special, sautéed scallops scream sauce pasta which was great, cooked perfect. Other person had stuffed shrimp and said they were excellent. We had a Caesar salad which had virtually no dressing so we really didn't eat that. Service was excellent. Overall... More

Oysters good but small, regular pricing a little high, probably would not do dinner here. Happy hour good time to drink

Had dinner tonight everything was amazing! We had calamari to start and cesear salad with the best dressing I have ever had. I had the crawfish stuffed chicken and my husband had fried shrimp and oysters. The beer was nice a cold and there was more then enough food, ended up taking a little back with us.

The addition of sushi is new. For a person who is not a shrimp fan, I do order the Shrimp Picayune. It is addictive. Once, I asked for them to make this dish with chicken; however, it was not the same! My husband loves their wedge salad and blue cheese dressing. This time, he ordered the fried catfish and really... The Oyster Bar has a great Happy Hour from 4-7pm every day. I had Raw Oysters (shucked right at the bar) and Peel n Eat Shrimp, delicious. My wife had Crab Cakes and Oysters Rockefeller and she loved them. Great service and a good selection of Ice Cold Beers on tap to top things off.

We came for a business lunch off a recommendation from a local. Nice location downtown with free parking. Menu can be proxy but it has a good selection of fish and shell fish. Would defiantly return.

Had a really, really nice visit, but MAN, my mind was blown away by Shrimp Picayune. They were super nice and posted the recipe, but I haven't matched theirs when I've tried. Good Golly Miss Molly.... SHRIMP PICAYUNE!!!!

While attending a recent conference in Corpus Christi, a group of us asked for dinner suggestions from the hotel staff. The Water Street Oyster Bar was mentioned multiple times by different employees ... ranging from the desk staff to valet parking attendants. The guidance was well-received, as the food was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was top-notch.... More

Colorado

Hi,

My husband and I have been coming to Waterstreet Oyster bar for over 9 years. We also used to go to the Waterstreet in Fort Worth when it was there. We live in Colorado and cone to Port Aransas every winter for a few months. I am originally from Fort Worth so we enjoy wintering in TX. We've already been to Waterstreet this winter 4 times and it's always good. Today we came for lunch and Trey ( or Tray) was our waiter. I informed him that I am deadly allergic to shrimp, crab, crawfish and lobster, those 4 only. I can have mollusks like oysters and scallops but have to inform the waiter so he can inform the kitchen because I can die but my husband enjoys all those things and I settle for a burger or something else as long as I know it's not cross-contaminated. I made sure Trey understood and he tried to find a menu for people who have allergies which I told him I know what to order, I JUST wanted him to let the kitchen and cook to know. I have to go through this every time I go out for a meal and like I said, I've never had a problem with your restaurant. Today, after I took a couple of bites of my bacon cheeseburger, I started having some MAJOR allergy issues, thinking I would have to use my double epi-pen! I tried to stay calm and when we left, I took some allergy medication, but didn't use the epi-pen. I still have the facial burning and feel horrible but I'm just asking you to please inform your waiters and waitresses about these deadly allergies some of us have. My husband and I brought my nephew to Waterstreet the other evening for dinner. The waitress was awesome and told me what would be safe to order and the meal was fabulous. Some of the new help need to be trained on this issue and know how serious it is.

Thank you for your time.

Cindy
