We have been to Takashi twice. The first time was on a weekday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. The sushi was very tasty, so was the main course. The fried rice was quite tasty. The second time was on a Friday...More

If there is a better sushi restaurant in Utah, I'd like to know about it. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. But for a lot of locals it reminds of Yogi Berra: "It's so busy, no one goes there anymore." In the last year...More

Hands down this is the best sushi restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City! Excellent menu and lots of specials on the board each night. Get there early to avoid waiting, but if you do have to wait, it’s worth it 😊.

Best sushi place I've been to in SLC. Tastes the best. So many sushi restaurants drench their sushi in mayo-based sauces. Takashi is different. It is crowded and not the cheapest but also not that expensive given the quality. Price is comparable to other nice...More

Disappointing that couldn't make reservations unless we had a part of 6 or more but definitely worth getting there early to get a table. The sushi was very good. Nice atmosphere and staff were great.

We have been going to Takashi for years for both special family dinners and date nights. We lived in LA before moving to Utah and enjoyed sushi there at both neighborhood and high-end restaurants like Nobu in Malibu, and Takashi is easily the equal of...More

Came here while in town for a week. There was 1.5 hour wait to get in but well worth the wait. I tried different sushi rolls and other dishes until I was full. I loved the green papaya salad, seared scallops, and green tea. Everything...More
