I came in with a group. I was hearing a mask, but a couple of people in the group weren't. Management came to our table combatively, yelling at me particularly, and vilifying our table. It was incredibly embarrassing. Instead of conflict resolution, they kept ramping...it up insulting us. We were already at the table, seated and eating chips. They came and kicked us out, screaming at us and videotaping us. It was crazy. It was extremely poorly handled. We drove an hour to get there, so we went over to the other location. The owner came out and asked if we were the ones at the other location. She became hostile and made assumptions about how we perceive the pandemic situation, which were wrong. She said we could exit through the back after. The waitress was nice, but apparently the owner informed her and her demeanor was ugly after that towards our group. We had a nice time, but then with the tip, the waitress told us we have to exit through the back. We're not going to be persecuted by them, so we didn't leave a tip. We began, but the door was locked. They then wanted us to walk through the kitchen to get out and we just decided to go out the front. The owner was out in front glaring. Mind you, one couple in a group of three couples was not wearing masks, but they humiliated all three couples. I walked up to her and told her we had been thoroughly villainized by them and that we wouldn't be returning. They need to step back and get some perspective. None of this had any reason to escalate, but they kept at it until the final moments. They're a service and we don't need to eat there. They don't look like they're ready to be open and need to be shut down. Nobody wants to be persecuted and vilified as customers. These guys are horrible. This is the governor's order: Per the health department, it is not up to you, the owner, to get into altercations with guests if they don't wear masks but be mindful that adhering to this precaution will help other guests feel safe. Same Household: It is NOT up to the restaurant or bar to confirm whether guests in the same party are from the same "household." The order specifically specifies that guests should self-monitor. We talked with the Department of Health to help resolve this.More

We ordered several different combo meals and shared the food as a family. Everything ordered was very good and seasoned well. Very friendly staff.

Amazing!!! If you only eat at one restaurant in SLC, this should be the place. Great Mexican food and service. Located walking distance from downtown. Ask for a mole sample plate before ordering.

Wow... authentic mexican food, I know that may sound repetitive but this place is the real deal. We has the poblano mole, it was AMAZING.

Simply put, I had the best plate of Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life there. I lived in Houston for 13 years and have eaten in plenty of Mexican restaurants. This one is the best. Their sauces are awesome. I’m not even a...big Mexican food fan (went here to please my wife) but this place is awesome. I had the dish called the Res Iguana and it was outstandingMore

Great meal and drinks with friends. Excellence in Mexican food. We were told by locals that the food was some of the best in SLC. They’re right.

The food was every bit as good as lit looked and smelled - I had chicken quesadillas and wife had tacos with beans and rice. Both were served with a very tasty red salsa that wasn't hot. The portions were just right - not too...large to finish but quite satisfying. Service was very prompt, and the food was just great. I'd certainly go back and I'd certainly recommend to a friend.More

This place had good reviews no matter where we looked, so we picked it for my birthday lunch. It's "hole in the wall" looking, but inside it's clean and lively. Our food was fresh and delicious, served fast and friendly. Our portions were big, as...well as what we saw going to other tables. It was busy at 3pm, so dinner hours are probably really busy. They are following covid protocols with masks and tables being distanced.More

Must try the mole! It is award-winning for a reason. The tacos were nothing exceptional, but the menu has many authentic dishes to offer. The mole section is wide and varied. Because of covid, they are taking reservations (they didn't take reservations before according to...the locals). But even with a reservation, the restaurant is so popular that we had to wait for our table anyway. But waiting for 20 minutes is better than waiting for 1-2 hours without a reservation. They also have a robust take-out service that will allow you to try their award-winning food without waiting for a table. The staff is VERY friendly and are happy to talk about the menu and give their honest recommendations. The restaurant followed covid guidelines with spaced-out tables, wiping down every table and chair after use, and all staff wore masks and gloves. Highly recommend!More

Most definitely. They have full liquor service, including high-point craft beers from Utah and sometimes elsewhere.
