Mixed bag -- The pad thai was flavorless although a plentiful portion with good amount of vegetables. Pad Thai didn't have any chopped peanuts, fish sauce, lime we are used to having in Pad Thai dish. The chicken satay and large fresh salad were pretty...good.More
What excellent food, service, and ambiance! A truly great find in Port Angeles! My husband had the Thai beer and Thai barbecue chicken. I had the Emperor’s Cashew chicken and the white wine blend by Harbinger. We enjoyed every bite. I would try another wine...if I return. The staff is outstanding!More
The restaurant gets many excellent reviews, you won’t be disappointed. The food is authentic Thai and is delicious. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to eat this cuisine at this wonderful family restaurant. Portions are generous and spice level is ordered by one -...five stars; one being least spicy. My daughter ordered a medium spiced meal (3 stars) she felt like it was more toward the mild side. Arrive early for supper, expect a wait. I’m excited to share this review the two sisters that own this restaurant are killing the competition! Enjoy:)More
There were so many things I loved about this place. I love Thai food and this place is possibly the best I have ever had. Tom Yum soup and crab rangoons were so good. Portions are large, enough for two meals. They had so many...gluten free options for my daughter, who can’t have gluten…she was like a kid in a candy store. Service was also top notch…so friendly and they seem to have a team approach, which is a rare find. Photo is of the Tom Yum soup.More
Sabai Thai was recommended by a local-- I wanted something fresh and healthy for a warm Summer night-- this place did not disappoint!! We wanted to branch out and try some dishes that we don't see on a typical Thai menu where we live so...my husband and I went with a starter and three entrees-- we started with the Eggplant Dip with freshly fried Shrimp Crackers from the house specials part of the menu. Based on the server recommendation, we tried the Curried Noodles! From the "regular menu" we had Thai BBQ Chicken and-- just because you've got to-- Pad Thai! All had perfect proportions of spice, depth, brightness, or sweetness in perfect proportions-- the food was fresh and so flavorful! Without special requesting, we received lots of extra fresh bean sprouts on the side of the phad thai and HALF A LIME on top of the curry noodles so we could really get that citrus finishing flavor! The shrimp crackers from the appetizer were fried to order and were still popping and crackling when they were placed on our table. Everything was perfect. The presentation was gorgeous too! Lastly, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and plentiful! They answered all of our questions, checked in with us often (but not too often) to see if we needed anything, and I overheard them discussing what protocols they could follow to ensure food safety for a patron that had a specific food allergy. I wish, wish, WISH that this restaurant was in my town. Port Angeles, you really do have a gem in Sabai Thai, I can't wait to come back again!More
Our local guide recommended Sabai Thai, and that we reserve. From the start (and the crowd dining in and taking away), we knew we had a winner. We had a hard time narrowing our choices. I chose Dungeness crab fried rice; it was loaded with...crab. My husband chose mussels and clams in a special sauce. I tasted his. I’ll finish 1/2 of mine for dinner. Accompanied by his rice with sauce. Welcoming and fast service, who treated us well and packed up our leftovers.More
Gluten free items clearly marked on menu, lots of options. We shared fried rice, pad sie-iew, and panang curry and all were fantastic.
Food excellent and service great . If you are in Port Angeles a must visit. Duck cooked to perfection and Thai Salad tasty.
Absolutely delicious Thai food. I had the green curry with scallops. Generous portions, even lots of fat scallops, in a yummy green curry sauce. Rich and delightful. Very friendly service. This is a great place and our new favourite when visiting Port Angeles. Make reservations...or get there early. This popular place fills up.More
Charming and friendly. As visitors, we weren’t sure where to eat. Found this place on Trip Advisor (yes, we read your reviews) and decided to try it. Glad we did. They do Thai classics well. My Emerald curry with scallops contained a generous portion of...scallops and the curry was excellent. He loved his Tom Yum with chicken soup. Nice place. Great food. We will come back.More
We have always loved eating at Sabai Thai and wanted to share the experience with our friend so last night we took him there for dinner. He loved everything starting with the Crab Rangoon and going on to the Mango Tango, Prik king, and curried...lamb. As we were getting ready to go home, he said he didn't think he had ever had such a good meal before. He talked about it all the way home.More
Our dishes arrived incredibly fast. It was so nice to have wide-noodle gluten-free selections in addition to all the "normal" selections found at other Thai restaurants. The restaurant is off-the-beaten-path and we only found it because of TripAdvisor. Thanks TripAdvisor!
I love soup. I had both the Tom kha and Tom yum soups, and each was singularly outstanding: rich in flavor, lemongrass and ginger and those mysterious wonderful thai flavors. I got a packed box of perfect rice and a side of veggies-tender in a...flavorful bit of broth. My sweetheart’s pineapple fried rice was good, but what I noticed was a fragrant smokiness to the whole dish. Yum.More
We had great service and food. We had Pad Thai, priking, and emerald green curry. All was very good! The family from 3 to 80 was happy with their food.
