Visited on 24/11/16 for lunch with friend, I ordered the Chowder which didn't contain much fish only one tiny mussel, plenty lumps of stodgy dough which hadn't been stirred enough to make it smooth. I've had the chowder before and it's been a large enough meal to have on its own. Not this time, below average on this occasion. The... More

We had the Seafood Chowder - was amazing - would eat there just to have the soup. The atmosphere was intimate and peaceful. Try going outside popular dining times and there is no waiting for service- ie before 6pm or after 7.30pm.

We were very pleased that Georges was open, nothing else in Eagle Heights or Tamborine Mountain appears to stay open after 4.30pm on a week day. Sadly George's food is not up to scratch. The menu looks and sounds great, very greek, the reality is the food is not. Ours was spoilt by the over use of the deep-fat fryer.... More

We have given another Georges a 5 star rating so this is a big let down. This is a dark and somewhat dingy place with a very unwelcoming and unfriendly atmosphere and also poor acoustics. We were greeted perfunctorily by a young lady with a poor attitude who flicked us to a table as if we were flies. The service... More

I had the calamari entree which was ok then had the lamb fillet dish. The vegetables were cold and I couldn't even put a steak knife through the lamb it was that tough. The sauce was tasty though. My wife was disappointed with her entree which was prawns and advacado. The prawns were watery and the meal small. Her barramundi... More

Im not easily impressed with many restaurants but this was a very pleasant surprise. I was greeted and seated promptly, given ice cold filtered water as needed and the chicken was superb. A large bowl of hot vegies was excellent too. lightly cooked ..just how i like them. Service was also first class from wo to go. Ill be back... More

Stopped in for a late lunch with my children over the last school holidays. We were seated at the back next to old cob web, dirty windows overlooking a less then appealing backyard with various miscellaneous items. I could not get over just how dirty it was. I ordered oysters for an entree, I don't think I'll be able to... More

Visited for lunch in a group including 2 kids. First time having a Greek style meal and it definitely didn't disappoint. We had lamb souvlaki, barramundi, pasta, carbonara for the kids, seafood chowder. All were delicious! The serving portions were generous too. Coupled with friendly staff, a place that I would recommend to dine in.
