The takeaway fish and chips were very greasy. Usually fish and chips are, but not like what we received. I squeezed one piece of fish and had a large amount of grease dip from it. There was a lot of food in our order, but...extremely greasy.More

great service as I was there a 1:52 pm August 25 2023 and ordered take out Great to see that I was given take out utensils / vinegar / ketchup and tar tar sauce as I travel for a living its unreal as to how...many take out meals don't contain any of these so Congratulations and much appreciated So again to the waitress who looked after to meMore
Yes this is a fish shop- but they push chicken too. Had a chicken burger raw- cold and blood. The others had ok fish. Will not be back.
Had their Cod&Chips a number of times. Portions are good although the fish are small. The batter could be a lot better. Chips are excellent.
We stopped in for lunch, the waitress was beyond delightful. The food on the other hand was not so much. The fish was very thin and fried dry, the tacos had far too much cabbage, which almost was a blessing because once I scraped of...the top layer that was smothered in a mayo based sauce with far too much vinegar in that tasted as though it had sat at room temp for far too long, but the tartar sauce had the same taste to it. The cabbage, and fries were good, but out of the 3 meals ordered that’s about all that got ate.More
Upon entering we were asked to provide proof of vaccine, that was the end of the restrictions. No spacing or barriers between diners, didn’t see server wash or sanitize her hands, still using bulk salt, pepper, vinegar, ketchup and tartare sauce dispensers. Both of us...felt very uncomfortable not having the restrictions followed, neither of us ate much and we’re glad to get out of there.More
I ordered the dinner for 2 with expectations of 4 fish 2 fries 2 coleslaw and shrimp. I picked up no wait at all. Food very hot. Service very professional. Got home meal was amazing. 2 fries 4 fish coleslaw and probably 20 shrimp. For...$30. Dollars. Food was amazing and fresh. Definitely a great amount. ThanksMore
We drive from Irma--just to go here---IT is ** ALWAYS*** good---!!!!!!!!!!!! ** ALWAYS*** ** ALWAYS*** ** ALWAYS*** FISH----that is what we drive 200k for---!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was like hellooooo..... I am over here. When I did finally get my fish and chips. It was worth stopping for, on my way North.
We had our usual fish and chips with cold slaw, meal cooked perfectly. Service provided was great. Not busy as it was -30C outside.
My wife and I enjoy the fish and chips at Joey's. The value is very good. Service has always been good and fast. Try it, you'll like it.
I went for lunch here and it is the second time I have had fair service. There were only 4 to 5 tables with patrons. I was seated right away and the waiter came to get my order in a timely manner. The food came...hot and also in a timely manner. They also came and asked how the food was. After I was finished the lady came and cleared my plate. After this they never came back. I had been going to have some mud pie but I got tired of waiting. They never even brought me the bill, I had to go to the register to get that. I would suggest that if the new owners want to keep their business they need to learn the basic skills of service.More
This was our favorite spot for all you can eat Tuesday. If you weren't there by 4:45 you were lined up to the street. We went this last Tuesday to find the restaurant had 5 tables with people at it. We still got bad service...(from owner/manager) and the fish was terrible. First batch not so bad but the second batch was dripping grease. The 3 of us all felt very sick after our meal and even the next day we were all not well. We will sadly never go back - this restaurant has obviously gone very down hill.More
I wrote a review after this restaurant was taken over by new owners, because it wasn't that good after the change. We hadn't been back to try it in a very long time. But some of our family members wanted to go for the Tuesday...special. To our surprise we all really enjoyed it!!!!! The restaurant is really clean, the staff was really great and the fish and fries were awesome. We are going back for sure - what a great surprise!!!More
Joeys is always a standard, decided to do take out one night for supper. The fish is decent but but the time. Got home the batter was beginning to get mushy and the fries weren’t as crispy as they should have been. ,Anne eat in...allows the, to cook it ,r for thoroughly for a crispier consistency. Better fish and chips cons be had at Grandins in Edmonton.More
