We ate there based on reviews.. I had prime rib.. Nicely done with a good salad as well.. My wife had a vegetarian Wellington.. Say what?? Couldn't believe she ordered it.. Well it was great... This is a very well run place!! Too stuffed to have dessert so you're on your own for that

We enjoyed the Powderhouse food. Quality and service were excellent, including attention to my husband's gluten free meal. There was enough leftover to have dinner a second day.

Dined here in mid-Oct on their last night of being open for the season. They did not miss a beat. Wait-staff was very attentive and personable. Got there early before the rush. Steak dinners were prepared just as requested, and were very, very good. Salads and baked potatoes were excellent.

We came here for dinner on the suggestion of the woman at the front desk of our hotel our first night in Keystone. I'm sure glad we did. Good food and service. We ordered the game kabobs but they were out of it so we had to order something else. My fiance ordered a special of the night that was... More

We stopped in for breakfast before going to Mount Rushmore and we were very glad we did. The waitress was very friendly and the breakfast was incredibly good. If we are ever in the area again, we will most definitely stop and eat there again!

We stopped on a Saturday night at 7 pm with no reservations. The place was packed but we had set our minds to eating here. They said the wait would be about 1 hr 15 min. We only waited 45 min. The waitress was at the table soon after we were seated. The menu has a very nice selection of... More

Destination quality restaurant in rustic setting, distant from the hubbub of local town to Mt Rushmore. Much classier and attractive than its competitors. Good choices on menu and wine list. Very efficient service, despite busy weekend night. Covered outdoor deck, great place to have a cocktail while waiting for seating.

We ate the the Powder House twice since it was so good. We had the quail with blackberry sauce, bison burger and prime rib. Not cheap but good food.

Had dinner one evening, had to wait about 20 minutes on the patio around a fire pit conversing with others, which was a nice prelude to dinner discussing where everyone was from and what sights they saw. As for the meal, one of the better meals which validated its Trip Advisor rating with a very nice menu with something for... More

We chose to stay in Keystone because of its proximity to Mt. Rushmore, The Black Hills, Custer State Park, and other good places to see. Keystone is very small and most eateries consist of pizza and deli fare. The area starts rolling up their sidewalks the first of October and there are not a lot of options for dining after... More
