Another visit, in a party. The cons were that; it was hot but it didn't occur to the waitresses to turn on the fan or even open a window; it's annoying when waiters constantly fill up your glass, but it was quite the opposite here...More

Had one of a number of great meals at the Lemon Tree. This is always our restaurant of choice when we want a really nice meal - it's probably at the top end of the "medium budget" end of the market but you feel that...More

When we finally found the restaurant tucked away down a one way street we wasn't all that impressed, a lack of atmosphere and tucked away in a corner when the place was only half full. Food ok but overpriced, probably won't go back

Description
The Lemon Tree restaurant, just a few steps from the heart of Bishops Stortford is a Hertfordshire favourite. Set in an elegant Grade II listed Georgian terrace, The Lemon Tree is a lively, relaxed eatery, created entirely by executive chef Luke Fishpool and his front of house wife Sue. The dining room makes the most of its historic setting, with beamed walls and ceilings, exposed brick fireplace, wooden floors and uncluttered wood tables and seating. The well thought out modern British menu features the freshest quality ingredients and global influences, and Sunday lunch includes a proper British roast. Interesting, affordable wine list and parking nearby that ticks every box.
