Jonesing for a steak my last night in Atlanta, I stumbled upon Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill and Brewery. I was seated at the bar immediately, and my steak came out exactly as I'd ordered it. (The red wine wasn't bad, either.) The bartenders were fun,...More

After an amazing visit to the Georgia Aquarium we dropped into this place and enjoyed a tasty lunch. While the tastes were great my brisket sandwich was a tad dry. Definitely a place to try if you are on your way to the new stadium!...More

Ate here with a group and the wood fired pizza, Greek Salad, Tenderloin Salad were all excellent. This micro brewery and restaurant is in an old brick building with rustic flare. The menu had gluten free and vegetarian options. The service was friendly and professional.

We have brought our large group of teenagers here before and have never had a bad experience. We had over 50 teenagers tonight and the food and service was exceptional. Thank you so much Max Lager for being so accommodating.

Went to dinner here for my birthday with friends while at a conference. Had heard mixed reviews, but decided to try anyway. So glad we did! My meal was excellent. The waiter even helped my friends sing happy birthday to me. Great atmosphere, too!

I went twice for drinks. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly and knew their stuff. I enjoyed an excellent IPA on one visit and some nice red wine the next. I only wish I could go more often.

What drew us in was the wood fire grill, but everything that our group got was delicious! The service was top notch and even though they were crowded, they ensured that we were well taken care of. The bar upstairs is gorgeous and the patio...More

Our reservation was at dinner time. While I don't know what time their kitchen closes, it has a lively bar and I bet the kitchen is open late. It would be worth it to give them a call to make sure. It is a fun place that... More

Description
Max Lager's was one of the first restaurants to bring the fresh and natural wood-fired menu concept to Atlanta. The art of cooking with wood enhances the Max Lager's experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. We feel that the investment made in the wood-fired grill pays great dividends to our guests. All Max Lager's menu items are prepared daily from scratch. Wood-fired steaks, burgers, seafood, ribs, and pizza are Max Lager's signature items. An inspired selection of entree salads and pastas add variety to the American menu. Max Lager's is the oldest brewpub in Georgia, opening in March 1998. Many of Max Lager's house brewed beers have won major awards including two awards at the Great American Beer Festival in Colorado. Max Lager's offers a full bar, wines, local and national craft beers, with a 32 tap draft system in our upstairs bar highlighting a selection of the best craft beers. If you are looking flavorful food and drinks in a warm and inviting atmosphere - Max Lager's is the place to be! Cheers.
