Barely cafeteria atmosphere, but food was very good and reasonably priced, even using plastic ware. I go back.

We were in this area a bit before noon on a Sunday, primarily to visit the Christkindl holiday market thing in Buckhead Village. After an initial stroll through there, nothing really drew me in food-wise. We had walked by Café Agora on the way there;...it was only 2 doors (or empty lots) down the street, so we opted to have lunch there. I've seen this place for a while. I have not visited Buckhead with anything approaching frequency for a long time, so I'm not sure exactly how long this place has been here; their website didn't say. It feels like it has been there for a while, though. They appeared to have their own (small) parking lot. There is parking available nearby in decks and on-street (both for a fee). They appeared to have limited patio seating, but the weather was cold with some light drizzle, so no one was going for that. They have a large interior dining room and appeared to have some bar seating as well (though it was closed off at the time). The menu had a surprising array of choices given that it was basically just one page. In addition to a few sorts of gyros, they also had fish, at least a couple of types of kabobs, a decent selection of appetizers, etc. We both went for the gyro, which also included a small salad. The portion size wasn't overwhelming, but neither was it skimpy. I didn't particularly want leftovers but I was able to finish my plate without feeling overly full. The gyro itself was very flavorful. Both of us enjoyed our salads; they were small, but with a large variety of vegetables. Prices were not outrageous despite their location in Buckhead. I was expecting a rather average dining experience here, but was quite pleasantly surprised. I will definitely keep this place in mind should I be in Buckhead again at meal-time.More
Delicious gyro-lots of meat and tzatziki sauce and served with a healthy side salad. Menu is well priced, good service and clean.
On a recent trip to Atlanta, we had several meals at this little restaurant and the food is spectacularly good. The mezze platter in particular is simply outstanding. The restaurant is very unassuming on the outside but offers excellent food.
Went in to get a quick bite to eat and was surprisingly pleased by the taste and amount of food I received..I ordered a Gyro plate it came with a salad that wasn’t very fresh but had an amazing dressing on it,I ate as much...as I could (that wasn’t brown)and tossed the rest, I will be back but will make sure my salad is fresh before I leave (lol)More
We got a takeout order of gyro platters for lunch, with hummus and pita for later in the evening. Service in filling the order was very prompt and we were able to eat without heating up our meals. What we got were two gyro platters...which were gyro meat on a bed of rice that came with a side salad. The meat was very good but not surprisingly had a lot of sodium in it for flavor. The rice was good. My husband liked his salad, I liked mine but noted that the lettuce appeared to be rusting or getting old and that affected the flavor. The pita we had was very good and fresh. We had the hummus and some pita later. The pita was still good and the hummus was, as usual, absolutely great!More
We were visiting Atlanta, and made a point of looking for Mediterranean food downtown. I had the mixed gyro platter - it had lamb and chicken. I was disappointed that there was little flavor in the meats and in the tzatziki sauce.
Great start with Mezze platter appetizer gives you a taste of a lot of different items and warm pita is done well. Felafel was really good and not over cooked as can happen elsewhere. Gyro plate was nicely done. Dessert rice dish is definitely worth...trying. Your taste buds will be happy you did. Good service. Definitely eating here again.More
Stopped for a salad and Falafel gyro.Generous portion, with nice salad And bottomless soda available. Service really quick and quality was impressive for the price.
Had lunch twice. The place is small, like tiny, there are some tables outside that are nice when weather permits, I did not look upstairs. I liked the food quite a bit, honest portions and good lunch special. I'll go back when the mood strikes....Service can be a bit slow, but that means they are making it for real.More
We stopped here for takeout when we flew into Atlanta. We are always greeted warmly no matter how busy they are. We ordered the Gyro Dinner, which comes with pita and a side salad. We also ordered a side of Hummus, and a dessert of...Smolac (spelling???). Everything was delicious as usual. We have never had a clunker meal from here, they are SO good! Try the Smolac, a dessert with some sweetness and cinnamon that I think is made from rice. And the hummus, it is to die for! FANTASTIC hummus.More
Food is always fresh and ingredients are good. My favorite is the Gyro which is likely the best in Atlanta. Salads are also great. Seating areas are a little tight. Pricing is very reasonable. Staff has a Mediterranean sense of humor and will "verbally" jost...just for fun.More
After visiting other spots, I can definitely say this is the best Mediterranean food I've had in Atlanta. I usually go for a lamb salad or gyro. I've never had a bad experience. The midtown location feels like its more of a grab-n-go atmosphere and...the Buckhead location is more of a sit down experience.More
Went for lunch, eat at counter looking out to the street. Had a meat assortment, with tasty spices and a vegetable pie. For dessert we shared a rice pudding, mmhh. Price is right and food is delicious. A must stop.
Walked over for lunch. Small, no-frills, order at counter. Ordered a chicken gyro ($7.50, or $10.50 lunch special - fries + drink) which was delicious and the service was so quick.
