I enjoyed a dinner meal with a group of colleagues at the White Oak Kitchen while staying downtown in Atlanta. The use of wood as part of the decor is very well done and the restaurant has a nice view of downtown from large windows on one side. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. My New York... More

Stumbled upon this place only because it was freezing cold/ wind chill 19 degrees outside and it was directly across from our hotel. We were not dressed to walk any further in the cold. The three of us reviewed the menu and all three of us surprisingly settled on the same thing, the fried chicken, grits and greens. I substituted... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a great review, Lindesday! We are glad you had such a memorable experience and enjoyed the fried chicken. The area around the restaurant is a bit dodgy. I was solicited for money several times and did not feel very comfortable. I went to a group dinner -- about 80 people. We had our own room and a set menu. Not too complicated, you would think. They had two servers getting drinks. Really? We were at a conference all... More

This restaurant is in the heart of downtown Atlanta where parking is a nightmare. Part of the decision was to use the complimentary valet. We arrived only to find the valet signs lying in the street and no valet in sight. Finally I spotted him using a phone in a nearby car and got his attention. Our reservation was the... More

Food was tasty. Staff was very nice. Nice modern atmosphere with a barrel theme. However, not sure where the problem lies but we were, admittedly, picky about the wine. We asked if we could sample a bottle and a glass before choosing. Just needed an answer, but it took so long the food arrived so we didn't order any. It... More

Really enjoyed our experience here. Large crowd at bar for weekday happy hour but we took a table in the back. We had exceptional service from the wait staff who were also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We tried all kinds of things that were delicious include the side order of mac and cheese, charcuterie, ramen (not my fav), deviled... More

Had a mediocre $24 Cornish hen, which was slightly overcooked despite my advance admonishment to be careful. I thought that a $16 glass of Chardonnay blend was overpriced. The furnishings are slightly kitschy (metal chairs, somewhat industrial general look). An affluent-looking clientele, but I don't get the appeal.

After a meeting at the Hyatt Regency, I walked across the street to White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails. The hostess and servers were very attentive. My friend and I were 2 of maybe 6 people there because it was still early in the day (4:30 on a weekday). It took quite a bit of time for the food to arrive,... More

Arrived very early, 430 pm, for dinner. Friendly greetings from all staff including manager and bartender. Ordered from bar menu. Fried chicken with grits and greens, tagliatelle with tomato sauce and duck - delicious! Ramen soup with shrimp - okay but not really appealing. Very good service though we arrived just as staff dinner was starting. Recommended.

I use to visit this restaurant when I would visit town for work. I was with 5 other people. We sat at a table I would say close to the bar but you can't order food apparently at that table. If you wanted to change 1 table to your left you could order food. Oh and the restaurant was completely... More
