Upon entering, we were seated right away. It was dimly lit, but nice. The food was unique. The plantain chips were delicious and the tasting dips great. I had fried avocado tacos. The fried plantains were also great. Waitress was a little rude, but not too bad. Overall a good place to try.

In the mood for some Mexican food we stopped here. This is not a casual Mexican restaurant, it's "inventive" Mexican food, so they say. It was between lunch and dinner hour. We sat at the bar. Took a bit of time for the not so friendly bartender to acknowledge us, finally asking what we wanted to drink without offering a... More

Went to a private party here and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. We were offered a lot of appetizers. They had a tamale cart, which was wonderful. The wine was fantastic as well. I didn't try a mixed drink. The restaurant is located in an old bank I believe. It's really beautiful inside. It's... More

The price is moderate, even cheaper by comparing the fast food restaurants in the area. They offer a wide range of Mexican food. The atmosphere is cosy. The service is quite fast.

Great food, great margaritas and great service (thanks Jerry!) Try the guac and salsa platter, and especially the sizzling fried cheese salsa verde

Went to alma not knowing much about the place and was very impressed. We didn't have a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. The food was very good and tasted authentic. The guacamole and carnitas were some of the best I've had. The only complaint I had is the chocolate ice cream was weirdly spicy, and because I have... More

We went to Alma Cocina for a birthday celebration and the atmosphere was nice, the service was great and the food was pretty good. The fried cheese was really tasty!! However, one in our party got sick while still at the restaurant and I got sick after we left. Ended up sick to my stomach, with a fever and chills... More

Very good! Guacamole and chicken mole were amazing. Great drinks and atmosphere. Located directly adjacent to the Ritz Carlton, very classy atmosphere. Great service! Will be back for sure.

The tortilla soup was flavorful enough, a puree with a slice or two of avocado and chopped toppings. In fact, I wished that I had simply ordered a bowl of it, rather than the cup and 1/2 Cubano sandwich. The sandwich was dry. The pork was dry. I really couldn't taste the pickle or mustard, which is really why I... More
