So this review is based on the beer and atmosphere as we did not eat here. Middle of a Saturday while exploring around Olympic Park. Great selection of German beers on tap. Bartender made my wife a rum and blackberry punch drink as she does not prefer beer. Great atmosphere and would expect this place to be packed for televised... More

This was my first visit. My family and I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and our server was excellent. It is kind of on the pricey side but you do get your monies worth. German chocolate cake was amazing!

In town for a conference and staying just down the street, this was a convenient spot. Dined at the bar. Quick service, cold German beers, and good food. I had one of the Wurst platters. Compared to what I frequently have in Germany, the knackwurst was good. The bratwurst was void of flavor. Spaetzel and kraut were good. I'd done... More

Very authentic German food. Not a huge menu selection and prices are slightly high but it is downtown Atlanta. Awesome outside patio where you drink and watch a game. The tables are long ones that you may share with other people.

Great place to spend an afternoon or time before or after a Hawks or Falcons game. Large selection of German beers especially Wheats. Great atmosphere with Bar, outdoors seating and indoor tables. Wait staff was great and prices reasonable. Plenty of brats and snitzel. Fun time strongly recommend

My friend and I came here for dinner and beer just before Thanksgiving, and both were terrific. They have a lot of interesting and flavorful beers, both foreign and domestic. The prices were reasonable, considering this is downtown Altanta. The food was great, too. The sausages were tasty and rich, perfect in combination with the beer. I got the wienerschnitzel... More

Excellent service, phenomenal food and Mass beers - perfection! This is a wonderful environment. I had the a Wiener Schnitzel - it was hammered thin and had the perfect amount of breading. My husband had the wurst platter - delicious with authentic saurkraut and kartoffel salad. The pretzel appetizer was soft and warm and complemented by three tasty mustard choices.... More

We were here for the Peach Bowl in December; the UW Huskies KJR radio was broadcasted out of here before the game. It was a great place to hang out, very large facility. Lots of food choices and beer selection. Even with the big crowd, we still received good service. They charged $5 cover per person, but we think that... More

Description
Opening just in time for Oktoberfest 2010, Der Biergarten gives Atlanta residents and visitors a true taste of German culture. Located Downtown within the Luckie Marietta District, Der Biergarten fills a citywide void of beer gardens and authentic German fare while providing world-class service in a festive, traditional atmosphere. Co-owner Wolfgang Hartert, a local resident and native of Germany, provided much of the inspiration for Der Biergarten. As he says, “Atlanta needs a restaurant like Der Biergarten. The significant German population and business community in Atlanta is begging for an authentic dining experience. I know that Der Biergarten will provide Europeans, just like me, a place to share the rich heritage of Germany with American friends.” Der Biergarten is made up of an elegant white tablecloth dining room, an alley with Fussball and table shuffleboard, and, of course, the indoor/outdoor beer garden. With traditional family style seating -a la Munich- and multiple flat-screen TVs, the beer garden is the best place for watching European or American football! Enjoy our authentic German cuisine while being surrounded by Bavarian décor, such as the hand-painted trompe l'oeil ("illusionistic") murals by Alexi Torres Alonso and a German-manufactured model-railroad that circles the restaurant.
