Vermont is a beautiful environment, of green mountains, and a proud history of flinty independence, and a dozen wonderful restaurants where dinners are memorable, and reliable, and excellent, but often a bit predictable, and then there's the Lincoln Inn dining room! The Inn's prix fixe...multi-course feasts create a new Vermont category, with Michelin-two-star-level excellence in culinary skills, visual surprises, and sensational tastes. Dinner is a fun roller coaster adventure of startling culinary events, with many in the category "OMG, how can the next course be as good as what went before?" The Lincoln Inn sets a standard I had not previously experienced in Vermont, during 50 years of enjoying dinners all over the state. It's the best, by a country mile, and the chef comes out after dinner, to visit each table, and speaks with unaccustomed directness. My summary? Hurry!! Run!! Excellence at this level in Vermont can be fleeting. Get there as soon as you can!!More

This is the real deal. Expect a fine-dining experience in an intimate, casual atmosphere. The food is exceptional, the wine pairing is a must, and the service is nothing short of first-class. Not something you might want to do every week, but if you're in...town for a few days and are due for an expensive dinner, look no further than The Lincoln Inn.More

This 7 course tasting menu won’t disappoint! I am an extreme foody and can be critical of almost any establishment, however there was nothing to criticize at the Lincoln Inn. Their commitment to excellence is evident with every aspect of this experience. I call it...an experience because the chef takes your tastebuds to places they have never been before! I HIGHLY recommend eating here if you are looking to have the best food you have ever had.More

This is the most fabulous dinner in VT. And this is my first review ever on trip advisor. The food was incredible, the presentation equally fabulous! Subtle flavors, first quality ingredients. A truly special night! Do not miss this gem!

A group of friends attended a dinner at the Lincoln Inn in early October. The evening was a great success and the 7 course dinner served by the Chef was outstanding. Each dish was like a piece of artwork!

What a wonderful meal and evening at The Lincoln Inn & Restaurant at the Covered Bridge. We have been meaning to try the inn for a few years now, and now can't wait to go back (we made reservations for our next visit before we...even left!). The inn property is charming and situated in a very scenic spot along the picturesque river. We have been very reluctant to dine out (especially indoors) in the wake of the pandemic but the restaurant has done an excellent job distancing the tables and introducing fresh air to the dining room. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the food - its taste, creativity and presentation. The chef's tasting is a perfectly sized seven-course meal that ended for us on a wonderful note of dark chocolate; always a good place to end. Mara served as the ambassador for our evening, introducing each course carefully, sharing insights on the chef's preparation, and for folks who added the wine tasting, explaining the origin of the wine and how it pairs with the food course. We had the pleasure also of meeting Chef Saramova as our evening drew to a close. We truly could not thank her enough; her talent and passion for food meant a perfect evening for us.More

Woodstock is a perfect picturesque Vermont town . The real jem was the Lincoln Inn and Restaurant. The best tasting dinner we have enjoyed since Europe last summer . The wine pairing really worked well . The charming farmhouse made a Post Covid anniversary celebration...a very special night . Imagine Lagostino, caviar, sturgeon, Wegyu and pigeon in one menu ! Accommodations were awesome!! The owners were super accommodating, friendly and fun. We were blessed to have booked the 7 course tasting dinner during our stay and were treated like royalty!! Every course was it's own adventure....in presentation on the plate by Chef Yuvgenia and for...our palette with the fresh top end ingredients but also with its service and description by Mara. You could see, feel, and hear the passion of both of the owners during our special dinner. Loved every minute of our experience here -we will definitely return and will bring everyone we can. A must see, stay and taste location.More

Proprietor Mara Mehlman and Chef Jevgenija Saromova have created a magical dining experience at the Lincoln Inn and Restaurant. The tasting menu had 7 courses, each consisting of the freshest and best ingredients, sourced from all over the world, expertly prepared and served with creativity...without pretense, and perfectly paired with unique wines from smaller US and international vineyards. Our dinner was pure culinary heaven, served in a COVID-safe private outdoor enclosure on the back porch of the Inn. A truly memorable experience at reasonable cost, and totally unexpected for this rural area in central Vermont. A perfect setting for a special occasion. I would rate this restaurant 10 stars if I could. Reservations are required.More

My husband and I recently had our first meal here (tasting menu). It was amazing from beginning to end. The service was great, knowledgeable and professional but also personable and fun. The wine list was huge but we were given excellent recommendations and really enjoyed...the wines. The food was way beyond our expectations!! We often find that tasting menus can start off really strong but the later courses can feel/taste like an after thought. Definitely not the case here - it was hard to pick a favorite course as all were interesting and unique but all extremely well executed. It was also really nice to see local ingredients mixed with ingredients from elsewhere (like fish and beef from japan) put together so well. Lastly, we appreciated that the chef came out and said hi and spent time talking to every table, great to here her story! Thank you so much for having us! We hope to be back for sure!More
