Pretty place with very nice staff. Choice of only 3 entrees, two of which my husband couldn't eat. He had chicken. I had pasta. Chicken good but small. Pasta was bland. We supposedy got a last minute cancellation and had to go at 6:00. When we left at 7:30 the restaurant was still half empty.

The food was fantastic. Don't miss any of the pastas. Very good, well priced, wine list. Owners are really nice people who obviously care very much about the freshness and quality of their preparations.

Suppose you dream of the perfect dining experience: Your host greets you warmly, and shows you to a lovely table in a beautifully lit, simple but elegant small room. The menu is explained, carefully. If you want help choosing a wine, your host will match you up, magnificently (and, if you're single, you'll wish this is how a dating service... More

Coming from Manhattan, we truly never expected a dining experience such as this in a quaint town. With only twenty-odd seats, take the restaurant’s advice by making the reservation weeks in advance. The staff was exceptionally friendly and well-informed, and the wine list was both lengthy as well as affordable. The pizzas are simply unbelievable – we had the prosciutto... More

If you love good food--high quality and fresh--then you will love this place. This place is ideal for a leisurely dinner over a good bottle of wine. Owners are there, running the dining room and the kitchen and very attentive. Been there three times and never disappointed. If you are in a rush, dont go because this is a place... More

Here is where reading about the place you are visiting comes in handy. I never would have known this gem existed except for on line research. Got a reservation, sitting at the counter, and loved it.

We hadn't visited Woodstock for a few years, but were eagerly awaiting our return to Pane e Salute. The four of us did the fixed price menu and all intentionally chose different menu items for our courses in order to share a few. The owner and the servers were fantastic, accomodating a few dietary preferences and also creating a "mocktail"... More

be prepared to sit for a very long time. slow food indeed. we went with much anticipation, hoping it would be the best restaurant in the region. it was more than an hour and a half until our salad was delivered. the dressing was overly oily and salty. not the lightness of flavors blossoming we would have liked from deidre's...
