The food at the restaurant was so delicious. The entrees included prime rib, duck, and boneless rack of lamb - all prepared simply but with so much flavor. The meats were very tender and tasty. The wait staff was very pleasant and offered delightful suggestions...More

Hidden nice place with an elaborated French style menu. Fabulous: Salmon, Filet Mignon and the Creme Brûlée. The waitress was so nice. Thank you for all your good advices. We'll come back again for sure.

We visit Woodstock each January and a meal at the Prince and the Pauper has become a regular part of each visit. The ambiance of the restaurant, the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of the food keep us coming back year after year.

Family of four with a couple of food allergies and a picky kid, and the Prince and the Pauper totally delivered. Great wine list, TREMENDOUS service and just the warmest place to hang on a cold Vermont night. I had a prime rib special and...More

The menu is limited but still quite diverse. I would suggest that when you make a reservation you pose that question. Although busy and successful for many decades, the restaurant is still run as a craft enterprise, or make... More
