A busy place on a Saturday evening and the staff seemed a little confused about seating people. You put your name on a list. They then seat you and take your order. We had the Hawaiian pizza and lasagna with garlic bread. The pizza and lasagna were both very good. A nice large portion for the lasagna. Many options in the menu. One refill offered on drinks. Worth the 15 minute wait. Give it a try!

We rented a house in the area for a week and ordered from Mary Angela's twice for delivery. Both times, the food came quickly and was delicious. The first time, I had a sub & my boys shared a pizza. The second time, we had pizza and pasta.

We stopped in while shopping in Carytown on a Saturday in December. They weren’t too busy & we were served quickly. I enjoyed a small Caesar salad, which was a good size, and a slice of Mediterranean pizza. Both were very good. It was just the right amount of food.

Angela Barron, the cashier, was so rude and nasty to me that I cancelled my lunch order. I’m a dairy and vegetable farmer, so I understand and appreciate service workers and all that they do. I also like to support local food spots, and moving here from NY, I was very excited to try this pizza! When I placed my order at the register, the cashier Angela yelled at me, telling me she was on the phone and I was going to have to wait until she got off to “talk to her”. I was understanding of that, but got asked to repeat my order twice when she got off the phone because she got distracted talking to Josh, the regular who had entered the store after me. He got a hello, and I got multiple eye rolls from her each time I repeated my order, which was just 3 slices of pizza and a bottle of ginger ale. After the regular was served and I was still waiting for this to-go order about 10 mins in, I saw that there were only two slices prepped to go in the oven and I asked for a refund. I got told that I “wasted their time” as I was shooed out the store, and have never felt more unwelcome in a place in my life. I really admired the connection to Sicilia that the store had as my grandmother is from there, so the experience I had here was disappointing. As a dairy and vegetable farmer I’m going to choose to support a different local establishment moving forward. I hope this was helpful, and everyone has the year they deserve.

This is a super casual place in Carytown. It is not comfortable. The service was bad; service was not personable. The waiters just drop things off at table as they are passing by and put wrong items in front of each of us. We had to move our drinks. The front area of this place is so small you cannot order at counter and then wait to have food brought to table. That would be a better option for this place. The food was disgusting. The tomato sauce is worse than anything; this was terrible. The philly cheese steak was yuk to put it mildly. I believe they actually leave the mayonnaise out for hours next to a hot stove. The glasses of wine tasted like they came from a bottle that was opened four or five days ago. We will never ever return. The thought of this place turns me off to food in a restaurant.

Always a great place to visit, the food is great and I love the older gentleman who works lunches at the restaurant. He is so friendly and always greets us with a smile!! Makes us feel like family. We always bring friends and family here when they visit from out of town.

Mary Angela's Pizza is to die for. They are so good. Get double cheese regardless. Their salads are great. Don't get drinks. They are expensive and you only get one refill.

Don't miss out on this hidden gem in the Carytown section of Richmond. Pizza is outstanding with generous toppings, a sauce to die for, and tasty crust. Also try any one of their amazing subs, loaded with meat, cheese and served on a homemade sub roll. I lived in Richmond during the 1980's and discovered it way back then. Whenever I visit Richmond, it is a definite stop for lunch. Don't miss it.

When I need pizza in my life I make the trip to Mary Angela's. It is the most "authentic" pizza I have had in Virginia. They do not offer refills on there sodas, so that can be a problem.

We were deciding where to eat on Cary Street, and the aroma wafting from Mary Angela's convinced us that this was our place. They are known for their oven-baked pizza, but the best thing on the menu was the spaghetti with marinara sauce. Such a nice combo of spices with just a bit of kick.
The portions were very generous. One of the members of our party ordered eggplant parmigiana which could have fed two people.
Our server, No. 11, was so friendly and made excellent recommendations. We were impressed with the service, the food and the speed with which they brought our meal. I highly recommend Mary Angela's.

While strolling West Cary we discovered Mary Angela's and decided to give it a try. Please note my wife is pure bred Italian, we travel to Italy often, and will be there again in two weeks. We wanted something simple and decided on the Italian sub. It was great! Our server, a young lady, was very attentive and could not have been more helpful. When we went in we were not sure we had picked the right place. The quality of the food and the great server confirmed that we had.
