Enjoyed brunch here with our daughters on a snowy Sunday in February. The staff was very welcoming (we did have reservations). Brunch was excellent. I had the fried fish sandwich for a change of pace and was not disappointed. The lettuce slaw was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. The brioche bun was huge. Next time I would order... Setting nice. Good menu selection, incl cocktails and the food was good and for Cambridge fairly reasonable. The restaurant was half empty by the time we were served and the experience was let down by sloppy and chippy service. Real shame. 3.5 stars Could be great.

One of several very uneven experiences. The most recent one was very disappointing. Burrata salad good, but chicken liver appetizer lost on a large plate with flavorings hardly incorporated. Awful bread. Pasta that looked very much out of a box, with lamb that was stringy, without any lamb flavor,.highly seasoned, with no character. Chicken OK. Pecan desert in which you... More

There are some delicious dishes here such as the Moxie-glazed lamb belly and the seared scallops, and also the fried Oyster Po Boys and beef patty melts. So many delicious dishes to choose from. We went here twice so we could try more things. Warm friendly service from the staff.

My sons made a reservation for us here as a birthday present and presented us with a prepaid voucher to the tune of $90 as a contribution. The place was rammed and extraordinarily noisy. Now this is a notorious technique to get you to drink more - when you can't hear what people are saying, you drink more! But basically... More

Ate an early dinner on my own, chose a seat at the chef's counter to watch preparation and tal with some of the staff about the food. Everything was superb. Had two small plates to start: Hamachi crudo with pickled peanuts and other goodies, followed by an intriguing squid plate with broccoli rabe and other accoutrments. My main course was... More

As soon as we walked in the door I could feel a vibe of good food, beverages and the clientele who appreciate it. A very informed and personable server explained the options to the already interesting menu, recommended cocktails based on personal flavor favorites and steered us to wine choices to match each individual palate. Each plate was cleaned, and... More

The talented chef, Will Gilson, grew up on a farm and sources most of his ingredients from great local farmers and fisherfolk. Every dish is a mix of classic and creative, fresh and delicious, and beautiful to behold. Friendly servers, fun music, with a seductive wine and cocktail list. The name, Puritan & Company, pays homage to its roots in... More

This popular joint, not a tablecloth restaurant, has interesting food. It's a little hit or miss, but basically we had a very good meal at a fair price. The noise level was a fairly loud but tolerable hum, our waitress was excellent, and we would gladly return.

We had eaten at Puritan a couple years ago and loved it. Tonight...not so much. Great app- hamachi that was fresh, interesting flavors - a 10. Prime rib prix fixe was a disappointment. Caesar salad was overdressed and way too much garlic. Potato galette was like frozen tater tots pressed into a greasy, rectangular slab. Brassica veggies had way too... More
