I haven't been here in well over a year. The place is still the same. Lots of curiosity items, antiques, and stuff from the group Alabama to look at while you are here. My catfish and onion rings were delicious and the price was very reasonable. The waitress was attentive to my need for lots of tea and very friendly.... More

The Strand is located in an old theater on the main drag in old Fort Payne. The marquee still hangs over the door. Walk in and time travel back to 1956! A vintage Wurlitzer jukebox greets guests at the front and the dining room is designed to give folks a dose of nostalgia so thick it should be served in... More

The banaza burger was really good as well as the price for the food, however I was extremely disappointed in the staff. As someone who is raised in the south and the hospitality was very poor. I was also disappointed in the burger that the only thing to make it stand out was the sauce that's it. I was expecting... More

My wife and I visited here while travelling through Ft Payne. We found a seat and was greeted by a waitress. She came across a little dull and lacking in personality. We noticed the other waitress was bubbly and very personable. We quietly wished she was our waitress. We found the menu to be a little limited without a great... More

We stopped in Fort Payne on our way from Huntsville AL to Atlanta GA and grabbed a bite to eat after going downtown to see the boys from Fort Payne's statues. Great atmosphere and great food. Get the onion rings, that is a must!

The strand offers a great décor! You feel like you have stepped into the past. And the food-yum! I love their bonanza burger-juicy and delicious with their own sauce, but watch out very filling. (You may want to split one so you can have some awesome onion rings. Just a fun place to go.

Went for lunch and had a burger and chicken sandwich. One of us got the onion rings which were great and then fries which were good. Fun decor

The building itself was originally a silent movie theatre not an antique store and restaurant. The owners, the Locklear's have run this for years and have in recent years brought back their awesome "Bonanza Burger". There is something about the flavor that just stirs my memories. Their other offerings are just as tasty. I promise you will find yourself caught... More
