We stayed near by and were looking for a bite to eat, this place did not disappoint. The veggie burger was giantic and delicious. The fish and chips was equally as good. Definitely worth stopping at and having dinner.

We ended up eating here after a debacle at our hotel and it was great. They aren't really staffed to handle a lot of people but the staff were just charming and you can let them off with food arriving at different times and drinks being a bit late when they are so nice. The food isn't cordon bleu but... More

Pros and cons. Pros: restaurant was close to where we were staying; had good food, and right off the Ring road. Cons: I had the cod and one of three pieces was under-cooked. The dish was delicious, but was also swimming in a very heavy cream sauce that was good but too heavy for my stomach. Most of the entrée... More

Avoid this place unless you're desperate. I came in and ordered a Swiss Mocha to go, for 710 kr I was expecting a good quality drink. I was in a hurry so paid and left. In the car I discovered my drink was only half full, and tasted very bad. The chocolate and caffeine ratio was poorly done, and tasted... More

We stopped here on our way from Vik to Gullfoss for some lunch and had some burgers (and a veggie burger). The food was really tasty, though it did take awhile to appear even though there weren't many other customers. The veggie burger in particular was not your normal vegetable mush fried into a patty, but was made of something... More

Good restaurant with great atmosphere, a pottery shop, and serving great local food and drinks. Nice service. However a bit expensive.

Loved their fries, lamb soup and Greta Porter. Desserts looked delicious too. Great warm space to enjoy a meal.

My husband got the fish and chips which cost $30+ and he got three tiny pieces of fish. The burgers were meh, the lamb soup was basic and okay. $130 for four of us with no drinks. This place was expensive even by Icelandic standards and we wished we'd gone back to Cafe Strond.

Thank you for your ratings. I can understand that you find things expencive - but let´s keep to the truth, compared to Iceland it is not. I know the prices in Iceland, I lived here my whole live, and shoud know. The pottery is Icelandic handcraft and desing, so if you go to shops that have that and compare it... More

After a long day of hiking Katla Geopark, my partner and I were desperate for a hearty, warm meal. I am a vegetarian and have had poor luck finding a good meal on my travels in Iceland. Certainly, I found it here! In addition to the delicious food, the hosts are kind and personable and we shared a great conversation.... More

After a great day sight seeing, we stopped on our way back to the hotel. We were made to feel welcome in this family business from the moment we walked through the door. Had the lamb from the specials and my wife the chicken, both of which meant we could have the soup for free. Great flavours in the soup... More
