We both had soup with excellent bread - huge helping of lamb soup and a large salad. Food took a while to arrive, but it was quite busy. prices were reasonable.

We loved this place so much we came back a second time. Service was the best we’ve had our entire trip! Worth a stop or two!

Lightly salted cod was a bit overcooked and it had very little salt taste. The rest of the family had lamb shanks and were very pleased with their meal

I enjoyed a fresh salad and sweet potato fries. My friends has the cod dinner and lamb stew. The cod was good— note the batter is very heavy and they removed it and ate just the fish. The lamb stew was good. Very good service...More

Like everything else in Iceland the food here isn’t cheap but the portions and quality were worth a visit to this cafe. The staff is very pleasant and the atmosphere is cozy.

Description
Eldstó Art Café/Restaurant is an artistic place where all tableware is handmade on the premises by the owners G.Helga and Þór Sveinsson (Thor), potter. The coffee we serve is made of quality coffee beans and our cakes, bread and soups are local as well as our various small dishes. Icelandic lamb and fresh fish is on the menu and lettuce grown in the surrounding countryside. Having a delicious meal in our lovely Restaurant on your way to the south is an excellent idea. We have a special menu for groups.
