Their lamb was delightful. Lots of choices on the menu. Their chocolate cake was huge, lasted us as takeout for a few days. yum

I tried this place out after reading all the good reviews. I went with chef's recommendation of the Arctic char, it was fresh, tasty and a really good mix of flavours all in one dish. Followed up with a gooeeyy chocolatey dessert with ice-cream (sorry...More

We had a comically bad meal here. The “lamb flat bread” pictured below was some sort of cold cut lamb salami on top of a tortilla. My burger was not good and came with a huge pile of “fries” which were like fried potato straws......More

I am so sorry to here that you did not like it. However the flat bread is homemade and tradicional like this. It is not a tortilla bread. Our fries are not straws fries. Hope you will have a nice time in Iceland and some...More

Terrific soup and best burger. The atmosphere is simple chic with their own pottery on display. Great friendly service.

We had late lunch at this cute little place on our back from Kalfafel. We were pleasantly welcomed for lunch even though it was well after 3pm. I had a veggie burger with a healthy portion of sweet potato fries which were really nice :)...More

I think they were winding down for the season so were out of a couple of things, but what they did have was fresh and delicious. Good hearty soups and sandwiches.

Komdu sæl, þessar ásakanir eru allgjörlega tilhæfulausar og rangar. Við notum ekki kjöstsúpugrunn fyrir sveppasúpu, hins vegar er hún ekki rjómalöguð og ekki með hveiti. Sem sagt - allir ættu að geta borðað hana. Hún er í potti þar sem að gestir geta afgreitt sig...More

Eldstó Art Café/Restaurant is an artistic place where all tableware is handmade on the premises by the owners G.Helga and Þór Sveinsson (Thor), potter. The coffee we serve is made of quality coffee beans and our cakes, bread and soups are local as well as our various small dishes. Icelandic lamb and fresh fish is on the menu and lettuce grown in the surrounding countryside. Having a delicious meal in our lovely Restaurant on your way to the south is an excellent idea. We have a special menu for groups.
