We ordered lamb chops and catch of the day. The potions are gigantic, make sure not to over order. Everything was delicious and although we were very full we couldn't stop. The service and ambiance are very good.

I stayed at the NLi for two nights and I bought two bottles of wine from Boston Logan airport (duty free shop). Wine in Iceland cost about $90.00 bottles (US16). We order the fish at the restaurant it was so fresh and they let me bring my glass of wine.

We had a very awesome dinner at Max's restaurant during our 1 night stay in Northern Light Inn. The fish was very fresh! The potato and other vegetables were so good that we wipe out everything on the plate! It's pricey but worth every penny!! We really love the food there! Quiet & romantic atmosphere for couples!

We ate here while staying at The Inn, good food, lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly. We also had breakfast here, which was a buffet, good variety of food.

Loved the food and the kids menu, but I guess like anything else in Iceland it comes at a cost. If you look beyond this the food was amazing and delicious.

Thank you for your review, and we are thrilled you loved the food. We really wish we could reduce the cost of importing most everything to Iceland, but our unique Arctic, mid-ocean location unfortunately adds to the expense of Icelandic daily life. We hope you also enjoyed all the free and wonderful things in iceland during your visit, and we... More

The ambiance is very lovely at Max's Restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the lamb entree when I ate there. Their bread is sooo good too, it's the little things! We enjoyed their breakfast selection every morning. It was kid-friendly and even had gluten free options. Reservations are highly recommended. I found it overall very romantic, even with the kids in tow... More

Really lovely and unusual food -we had home made bread and succulent lamb and chicken dish Didn't have deserts as the food here is expensive (as is all Iceland ) so we needed to economise Came back for lunch to get out of bad weather and had the fabulous fish soup

We ordered their catch of the day. And it was fantastic. The potatoes were great, the fish was fresh, the vegetables were crispy. Quiet and cosy. Good place to dine with your partner.

We stayed at the Northern Light Inn this week for two nights and had the best time. The hotel picked us up from the airport free of charge and when we got there staff were very informative and friendly. We booked our table for Max's Restaurant as it gets booked up and we also put our room number down to... More
