This was by far the best meal of the trip. Fresh salmon to start, beautifully cooked cod and a delightful French chocolate cake to finish. Service was efficient and friendly. Meal was expensive - but well within the expected norm for Iceland prices. We would definitely return!

After spending all day at the lagoon my fiance and I decided to try out Salthusid after seeing some of the reviews in here. It is safe to say it did not disappoint at all. When we arrived it was nice and quiet and we were taking to a small side room with lovely wooden decor. However it was the... More

We were looking for a good meal outisde our hotel Silica. I came across Salthusid as one of the top restaurants and decided to give it a try because we love lobster. It was about 3 miles from our hotel so figured we would call a cab but to our surprise they offer a free shuttle/ride to and from the... More

We ate here twice. The food was very good and portions are big. Service is very slow. Second time we didn't even order dessert even though it was my favorite. We waited 20 min but no one came to take our dessert order. I liked lox appetizer even though it was different both times. And tiramisu was good if you... More

Went here from the front desk at the geo hotel suggesting it. Was not disappointed. The lamb chops were the best we had ever had. Perfect prepared and the quality of the meat was incredible. For the quality, I found the pricing to be quite reasonable. Great value for the money. The fish most certainly had been caught that day:)... More

When we arrived the lady leaving recommended the lobster soup, it was excellent. I opted instead for the soup of the day which was goulash and my sons both had lamb chops. It was absolute heaven. Everything was perfect.

We came here for dinner on our first night in Iceland after an afternoon spent at the Blue Lagoon. We stayed at Geo Hotel and it's a short walk to the restaurant. We both got the lamp chops that came with mushroom gravy, baked potato, and salad. It was superb, we would certainly dine here again.

The owner will get fish in the morning and then it's on your plate at night. I had the fish of the day (Plaice), it came with potatoes, and salad which were very tasty. We ordered an apple warm cake for dessert which was very, very good. Icelandic restaurants do not require tips which is still a little weird for... More

We stopped here after leaving the Blue Lagoon hotel on way back to airport (a 10km diversion but well worth it). Family all found items they thought they would like and were not disappointed. Nice interior, tastefully done.

Dined here on our first night in Iceland as we were staying at the Geo Hotel nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had lobster soup to start which was delicious, we were to share the soup but they brought out two in error, they realised their error and only charged for one with no hassle. Main courses...
