This is a fun little lunch joint with Great Chili. You can order your chili as hot as you desire, however I suggest you use caution!

As the weather gets colder this becomes an even more favorite place to eat in Springfield. Is specializes on chili and it can be served alone or with other food items such as hotdogs. It's quick and inexpensive for lunch.

Been going to The Den, JR Rogers, now The Chili Parlor for 40 years. Always great experience, chili, and ambiance! Never changes (except price!)

Even though Mary Ann is not there all the time, the new owners has not changed anything. I have been going there for Chili for over 50 years and really glad the new owner has not changed the Chili. He even visited each table with a warm hello, just like Marry Ann did. AWESOME.

The Chili Parlor has five levels of chili hotness you can order. Better get there right when they open at 11:00 a.m. to avoid the line. Always a few faithfuls waiting for the door to be unlocked! Was introduced to the Chili Parlor by a Springfield native son! have been back multiple times when I visit Springfield. They were on... More

I picked up a bowl of "Fire Brand" to go.....and took it out to my family back on the farm. We wanted to taste it to see if was as good as the "Den Chili Parlor" original. It was.....so I will be ordering several quarts to go for our reunion lunch. A lot of the reviews on the site for... More

I've been a loyal customer since my childhood days, it was my favorite chili then and still is today. The chili cheese burger is my absolute favorite and is a must try to say the least. They have the friendliest staff and by far one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. Great food,... More

We were visiting from Texas and had to try the famous Chili Parlor. I found it very unique and tasty! It's so different from Texas chili. We had them freeze some so we could take it back with us. Then when that ran out we ordered more to ship! There is a reason that restaurant has been in business for... More

Heard about this place for years, "it's famous for its chili." This is probably the worst imitation of Chili I've ever eaten. Pure garbage. If you think this is good or genuine chili, go get some of that crap that comes out of a machine at 7-11 to put on your hot dog. It's the only time I've ever been... More

Listed in the places you should visit to experience local eats, we decided to try it for its famous chili. The place is interesting. Far from fancy.

Thank Marcelo S
