Augie's has always been reliable upscale dining in Downtown Springfield just across the street from the Old Capital Building. Crfe is taken in food preparation and our server was friendly and knowledgable.

Because of Springfield's one-way street obsession (why? there is no heavy traffic), combined with very poor signage and the fact that TripAdvisor's address is debatable (the formal entrance is on 5th, but the waiter who, over the phone, gave us complicated directions to the back...More

Augie's has an excellent Crusted Grouper. The menu is varied and during the summer service is available on the sidewalk area. The restaurant is small but has excellent service and drinks. It is above average in pricing.

This is a Springfield downtown favorite. Love their lunch and dinner menu. I have been at private events at their basement. The food will not disappoint. I am going to say this is a mid range restaurant at lunch, fine dining prices for dinner.

Several people had told me that this is a must-visit spot in Springfield. My experiences did not support these opinions. The first night I was there was a Thursday, and they have a 3-course prix fixe menu called Thrifty Thursday for $14.99. That sounded good...More

Still one of best restaurants in Springfield. Classic old school club - like feel. Service was professional and well- versed. Bunn steak special was very, very good. The restaurant can't help that it's still a favorite with our inept legislators or sketchy lobbyists, but you...More

Good food. Good service. Nice ambience. Great place for a quiet dinner and drinks. On the downtown square, walking distance to almost everything worth touring in Lincoln's home town. A bit pricey, however.

We ate here during our first night in Springfield. It was one of the suggestions from the front desk at our hotel. We are very fortunate to live in an area with many fine restaurants and CIA trained chefs. This is right up there ....More
