Just what we wanted for lunch on a warm autumn day, lovely to sit outside in the shade. Really fancied a salad and the Salmon BLT was on point 👍🏼 My wife enjoyed the waffles & chicken but it was a lot of waffle so...wear stretchy pants, father in law enjoyed the fish n chips, I tried the fries/chips and they had a lovely coating. Obed’s has an extensive range of ales mainly local, I tried the Obed & Issac ale and the pilsner both delicious. So pleased we went and enjoyed a perfect lunchMore

Unique setting in a Victorian home. Wait staff was great, very accommodating. Food was amazing! I had salmon BLT salad. Charcoal grilled salmon filet, on an adequate BLT salad. Best salad ever! Dessert of warm bread pudding with raisins was a great ending to a...wonderful meal! Will visit this restaurant again when I am in town!More

We were hoping to sit outside but were given a really awful table next to the kitchen and serving area. I guess someone has to sit there, so it might as well be tourists who won’t be coming back. There was plenty of room in...the main area too. The food was good – Fish & Chips and a weird burger with peanut butter and jam, the kind of thing Elvis probably ate. Fries were excellent too, all served on hot metal dishes. Our surroundings did put us off though. On one side of us we had a morbidly obese couple, scrolling their phones, not talking, shovelling everything in with a fork, spilling half of it down themselves. On the other was a mum with an anorexic 10 year old who wouldn’t eat anything and said so very loudly. Worst of all was the sight of one of the servers who was always eating something every time he came out of the kitchen. Maybe leftovers? Good food but totally spoiled by the ambience.More

Coming from Chicago where prices were high, this was much more reasonable. My husband loved the beer flight! Service was good once seated. So much choice on the menu. Just be wary if you’re veggie, the burger tasted like it had been cooked on the...meat grill so not the best choice perhaps. Very lively and busy.More

The food is good, honest fare. Lots of great-looking choices on the menu. Opted for the pulled pork "nachos", which were actually delicious soft pita slices smothered in cheese sauce and topped with smokey and tender pulled pork and pico. The pulled-pork pony-shoe was also...declared a winner, as was a pulled-pork sandwich with side of homemade potato salad. Noticed other diner's choices, and everything looked great. Prices and portions were reasonable. Service was prompt and attentive.More

Our party of eight ate ourside in the courtyard and each tried something different to share amongst our Lincoln tour group. The prices were reasonable, service was great, and the food was exceptional. A nice relaxing setting and my sneak tour through the inside of...the house revealed it to be very interesting and keeping with the Lincolnesqe atmosphere ot Springfield. Don't miss this place.More

although the food was OK, the service was not. we started at the bar and proceeded to a table for dinner. Other than being ignored by the many waiters running around, we finally got our burgers (cold) and decided to cross this place off our...list.More

Visited on a Sunday after brunch but didn't mind missing their brunch hours because I was still able to get chicken and waffles which were delicious. Assumed it would be a touristy dive because it was the closest restaurant to Lincoln's house bit it wasn't....Great food, great energy, family friendly, great location.More

This was an okay restaurant. Service was okay but not great. Good was expensive for the amount you received. BBQ pork was super spicy and couldn’t be ate. Pork tenderloin was fried a bit to much therefore extremely crispy.

We were told my a guide at the Lincoln Home to walk across the street and eat here and it did it disappoint. My daughter and I split the Full Horseshoe with Angus beef and it was more than we could handle. The cheese sauce...isn’t too thin but has a rich flavor. The burger patties the very big, the fries seem to be battered and there are a lot of them. The fries were cooked perfectly crisp but not close to burnt. For $15, this was a bargain. My family will definitely be back!More

We just love this restaurant. It is clearly the favorite spot for the neighborhood and it's easy to see why. There is a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining and then you can also take drinks next door to the outdoor bocce garden that...has picnic tables and places to stand and sit. The food was delicious and the server very friendly. Can't think of a nicer place to spend an evening in Springfield.More

Really good dinner passing through town on the way home from vacation. My wife had the pork tenderloin sandwich with house made chips, and I had the philly steak flatbread with homemade cheddar cheese sauce. Both entrees were outstanding, and to boot we had dessert,...the gooey butter cake. All was fantastic and really good service. Enjoy this place!More

In Springfield, IL for tourism. The hotel desk told us of this restaurant. It did not disappoint. We had the potatoe cakes appetizer. They brought us 3 large portions that could easily serve six people. They were delicate and delicious. My friend had a fabulous...bowl of chili. One of the best ever. The server was wonderful. Kudos to her.More
