You expect Frank Sinatra and his Las Vega pals to stroll in any minute. Pack into a huge red leather booth in the bar and drink up. Straight, no chaser. This is man town. Food is nothing special. Johnny's is the last vestige of South Omaha's booming stock yard complex when all the hustlers and hot runners got drunk at... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend for my husband's 50th birthday and it did not disappoint! The retro interior is one-of-a-kind! Our food was hot and delicious, our waitress was very nice and the dessert was icing on the cake!

This is one of the "old school" steakhouses that is still around. I remember visiting this place with my parents in its heyday when the crowds were large and the the dining room was full. I took my grown kids to Johnny's for lunch on my son's bday. I believe that we each ordered something different and everyone was very... More

With the prices most restaurants charge for Thanksgiving meals, you hope to be paying for quality as well as the convenience of not having to cook it yourself. The turkey was pre-formed and processed, the stuffing and mashed potatoes were from a box and so full of chemicals and sodium that I couldn't choke them down. And if you wanted... More

I am sorry you did not enjoy your thanksgiving meal. We use real turkey that we cook, debone and slice by hand. The stuffing and potatoes, cranberry salad, and pumpkin pie are also made from scratch. The only additional charge could be all white or dark meat or a beverage that was not included in the meal. If you would... More

Very classy with the atmosphere of home. Steaks, salads, chicken, fish-everythng is cooked to perfection. We have celebrated all our special family occasions here. Our son-in-law from Arizona insists that we go to Johnny's every time he comes to town. You can't go wrong here. The service is just great. When you come to Omaha, you have to go to... More

We were at Johnny's with a group of 4. The group had varieties of chicken and steak. We had onion ring and a spinach cheese dip before our meal. Everyone was quite pleased with the food. Service was very good. This was for an evening meal on a Saturday. Restaurant is very clean. It is a place to take you... More

Server was very nice. Food was really just average. Meat (prime rib, rib eye, and pork chops) was a little over cooked (but taste was still ok). Baked potato was very small and very crispy (definitely over cooked). Very small portion of au gratin potatoes. The place has a lot of history, but I won't go back for the food.

Click through the pictures....yes, it really is a time capsule. When you walk into the extremely dark round lobby with red walls and a bit of a musty smell, you smile. Don't go if you are looking for modern or high end today. This is living history! My filet, as well as my colleagues' cuts of meat, were prepared exactly... More

Went here for my mother in-law's bday and realized this place has gone down hill. Out of 8 people, 7 were disappointed in their meal. My nephew's steak came out so tough he could barely saw into it. I had shrimp on a skewer and didn't think mine was bad for $16 but I was the only one who left... More

Johnny's is one of the last of the Omaha Steakhouses. Great prime rib with cowboy potatoes. The restaurant has the looks of a fine dining establishment, somewhere to take people to impress them. Also have private party rooms available.
