The mussels marinière are the best you can go there with your eyes closed, however the dish is unlimited except that the second time you ask you don't really want to eat more because the service is so long.
Don’t dare ask for a 3rd round, you risk staying there the afternoon.
Avoid Sauvignon by the glass, it is not good. For water in a carafe, nothing fresh, it’s at room temperature. Unless you like hot water.
We ordered a gourmet coffee (excellent) with an extra coffee and this coffee alone never arrived.
The waitresses are borderline insolent when you try to make a constructive comment.
For that alone we won't come back, it's a shame because the food is excellent.
We need to put staff in the dining room up to the level of the restaurant…
And then the final touch, to pay you have to claim several times. This is unheard of!

On the weekend in Fouras, we went to spend the day on the island of Aix, we stopped for lunch in this place not to be missed. We had an excellent time on this rainy day, the owners and waitresses are great and take great care, the place is as we like it, atypical, cozy and well decorated, with exclusively homemade products, local and cooked fish and meats. on the embers..., the choice was difficult as we wanted to try everything, we had a great time, everything was perfect! An unmissable address, thank you for your welcome, your originality and your professionalism, we will undoubtedly come back!

We went there for lunch by reservation. The setting is very pleasantly shaded. The menu is homemade, so great. It's a little expensive but like everything on the island of Aix, a little too expensive for the children's menu at 16€ considering the quantities served. The tuna tartare is delicious, the only downside is the very very light quantity of accompaniments, a slice of tomato and 2 eggplants and a few new potatoes, but that's a downside because it's delicious. The desserts are also very good. The service was very friendly. THANKS

We spotted it a few weeks ago during a visit to the island and couldn't wait to test it out today!
Well this is the first time we have left a restaurant so disappointed!!
Reception leaves something to be desired but given the setting we let ourselves be tempted. We ask if there is a children's menu (which will be decisive) we are told yes, sausage or mussels! Our daughters don't like mussels so we'll take the new apple sausages (no other choice of accompaniment)
Once the appetizer was served, the waitress nonchalantly told us "actually there are no more sausages, we're closing tomorrow so we don't have any more..."
ok... Well we should have left at that point but we stayed. A little stuck we take veal which is the suggestion of the day (not the same price and obviously not possible to put it on the children's menu...) so the waitress offers us a plate for our 2 daughters to share.
A very very long service followed, there was a large table next to it and the 2 waitresses seemed overwhelmed.
When we ask the waitress for something she replies in the same awkward tone "okay but wait I have something else to do"
We wait to be cleared, but it doesn't come, so too bad for dessert, we'll pay the bill.
Obviously the 2 drinks that were supposed to be in the children's menu are counted separately for us (after discussion one of the 2 is offered to us)
And we are charged a plate “sharing fee” of 4 euros because our daughters had a dish for 2!
I ask for an explanation calmly and from there the manager (I presume) comes out of the kitchen very aggressively telling me that it is specified on her menu (ok I hadn't seen) and that she has to pay her dishwasher and its towels at 1.5 euros each.
In short, she mixes everything up. I'm honestly not the type to cause a scandal but this was a sequence!! Unbelievable to be spoken to like that.
The unfriendly waitresses and all the same for the management. Impossible to discuss, she returned to the kitchen while I was still talking...
Sorry but to escape, too bad, a lot of it was there: we ate very well.
But honestly for me a good restaurant isn't just that, I like to have a smile, people happy to work... So despite the good food, we didn't digest well...
It may be the end of your season, but we pay like summer customers and we deserve quality service, right down to the last customer.
It's unacceptable to be treated like that, especially by the manager, when basically I just want explanations!

Lunch meal on 08/18 with reservation
We had to wait because the reservation was not made for the right number of people but no problem we were still smiling at that time
When the menu arrived we found the prices expensive but we said after all if it was worth it... on the other hand the children's menu is 16€ NO that's not possible!! If the map had been accessible on the internet this point would have been clear for us
The pizza from the first children's menu arrived at least 15 minutes before the dish from the second children's menu, which is not easy to explain to children...
When our dishes arrived there waitresses threw them on our table without looking at us
The vegetables were cold and not seasoned at all
The mussels were good but not worth €19.50 and the sauce with the veal skewer was water, no taste…
In short, really very disappointed with this restaurant but there are so few of them on the island that they allow themselves this kind of price without quality and nevertheless remain full…
In short, only the setting was pleasant
To flee

We were welcomed to Isola Nostra at the start of the service. We booked for 2 people, the weather not being great (wind and rain). We kindly asked to be inside, seeing the waiters eating, we told them not to bother and see after their meals.
A few minutes later no news from them, we ordered our water syrup which arrived hot. My partner once again asked a waitress to be inside, because it was cold and our table was in the wind. The waitress tells him that this is not possible because there is no table of two inside. My partner then asks him why a couple has just been placed inside without reservation. I repeat, we had reservations... so the customer has no rights or possibilities?
The waitresses end up lowering the gazebo blinds.
We order 2 pizzas.
My partner finds a piece of Cellophane in her pizza.
I tell a waiter that we found a piece of cellophane in it. After he quickly took the piece of plastic, his response was:
What do you want us to do? Shall we make you a pizza again?
So no sir, we've already eaten more than half the pizza so no. But I think the minimum is to apologize...
No commercial gesture on their part.
I will not set foot in Isola Nostra again.

We used to come in the past and we can see that things have changed a lot!
The setting remains very pleasant with natural shade and a very pleasant terrace!
On the other hand, the service is disastrous, the dishes arrived one after the other and the last one was completely forgotten! The young waitresses and waiters struggle as best they can in the face of a kitchen that seems overwhelmed! The mussels were OK, however the veal skewer was overcooked and dry!
For the price we were disappointed,
Hopefully this is temporary or we came on the wrong day.

A restaurant without surprises, the dishes are served without seasoning, no surprises on the plate. Mussels marinierez is the only dish that is satisfactory.
For a main course and a dessert, an hour and a half at the table is too long.
The service needs to be organized

Intimate and shaded setting. Fresh produce, cooking over wood fires. Generous and tasty dishes. Excellent lunch. We shared 2 whole crab starters and 6 razor clams, veal skewers and mussels with pineau cream, gourmet coffee and coffee. As for drinks, a beer and a good bottle of wine.
The team is friendly and professional.
We feel the chef's passion in all the dishes.
THANKS

A very good address to remember! The staff is very nice and smiling, the setting is beautiful and intimate. On the kitchen side, nothing wrong! Impeccable service and excellent food. A special mention for the beef chop and the whole sea bass cooked in embers!

We like the restaurant, at first glance on the internet only (burgers, pizzas, children's menu 7.5, good comments overall). But that was before arriving on the island...
What a series of disappointments: no burgers, no pizzas, children's menu 16th 😱 for a sausage and 4 new potatoes, 22nd "squid with parsley, venerated rice and vegetables" or rather a handful of squid and a free piece of plastic, without parsley 🤔 -rice-1 anorexic asparagus and a priori a piece of leek 🤨. No need to go and discuss with the chef as proposed, it will not change the dish nor the price nor the coldness of the staff...
We come out ruined and hungry...

This restaurant is to flee! Not because of its cuisine (excellent!) but for everything else: the shameful uncleanliness (fingerprints on the glasses, badly washed cutlery...) and above all the extraordinarily slow and forgetful service, simply because of a waitress bordering on insolence and whose colleagues I pity (with whom she obviously plays the “cheftains”!)... Some rude clumsiness also, like these salt shakers on the table, brand “La Baleine” (industrial salt of Camargue!), while we are next to the island of Oléron and its remarkable salt marshes (which I recommend the visit, incidentally)... And to top it all off: a particularly salty addition, too, the prices charged by this gargote (where you are not even allowed real table linen, just paper napkins!) being worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant... which it never will be, fortunately! In short, a real "tourist trap"...

Excellent restaurant in a bucolic setting, a warm welcome from the staff. A choice and varied menu, fresh and tasty products cooked by a master chef. Thank you for this great time around a rib of beef (1 kg 700 for two) and an excellent tuna tartare in Japanese fashion. I highly recommend.

Served 1h30 after ordering. The side dishes not cooked. Forced to ask for bread several times because the waitresses are quickly overwhelmed. But they don't have much to do with it if the boss doesn't give himself the means to satisfy the customer...

We arrive on a pretty shaded terrace with a very pleasant and friendly welcome. We enjoyed a meal without false notes with starters of razor clams and parsley followed by an excellent sea bass cooked on the coals and perfectly cooked. The profiteroles are delicious as well as the baba. In short, an ideal meal, with kindness and professionalism from the team.
Don’t hesitate to discover 😋
