You know a nice breakfast place when you walk in. Great coffee, tasty bagels, good library & nice service. Refill 0,5 USD was higly appreciated too :=). Across the street is the Convention Center; on busy days be sure to be early.

My coffee break and lunch hangout for the many years I lived in Anchorage and worked nearby, I was glad to return as a tourist recently to find Dark Horse going reliably strong still. Offering some of the best coffee in town, it is run by Karen and her ‘girls”, charming and welcoming as ever: they even recognized me after... More

We just enjoyed among the best lattes we have had in America. Almost as good as a flat White in New Zealand.

Went here for breakfast. Coffee was great. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, filling and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this place.

Recommended by the desk attendant at our hotel, the Downtown Marriott, as a place for breakfast as we wanted to take in a brisk morning walk. It was an easy 3-block walk & what a great find! Small, but quaint, charming, warm & the most friendly staff you could imagine. My hubby enjoyed a great organic French roast coffee with... More

Every time I have been to this cute little shop it has been packed with seating difficult to obtain. Located in downtown it's supEr accessible when visiting some of the other down town gigs. They have food options to accommodate most dietary restrictions and the coffee is excellent. Would definitely recommend.

There was a line, which can be scary when you're in a new town, but the person taking the orders knew everyone's name and you realize immediately if locals are waiting, so can you. Totally worth it. There isn't a whole lot of warm and fuzzy but the coffee hit the spot and got me through the day.

We loved this little coffee place! A cozy, warm and friendly place with great coffee (to a very reasonable price) and good sandwiches. We ended up sitting there for quite a while, but it is also possible to get everything to go. Looked like it was very popular with the locals. We paid approximately $18 for two large coffees and...
