Went without reservations but was still seated in the bar area which serves a full dinner menu. I chose the roasted red pepper soup as a stater which looked gorgeous but was very bland. My husband and I actually thought the main dish wouldn't be good. Thank the heavens, we were wrong! I chose the halibut dish which was perfectly... More

We always celebrate special occasions with a dinner at the Crow's Nest. The place has a spectacular view of the Chugach Mountains to the East or the Alaskan Range to the North or the inlet to the West. You can never go wrong wherever you sit, just request for a table by a window. I love their food and their... More

Absolutely delicious!! Started with a small corn bisque (gratis), then Crabbie patties, then a small salad that had a nice cheese, candied walnuts, different lettuces, vinaigrette. Then a beautiful ribeye steak with fingerling potatoes and broccoli florets... It came with a sauce that I wasn't crazy about, but still was a very nice steak. The sauce was on half the steak..... Great ambiance, quiet and comfortable. Of course the views of Cook Inlet and the mountains are great. Chelsea was not only our humorous server but doubled as photographer and provided great service. She also provided good advice on our wine choice. I had the soup special, beet salad, and crab and halibut on couscous with green beans, which was great.... More

There's not a bad view in the house, we were lucky it was a full moon that night- the view are amazing. We love the decor is retro 70's (not a lot of those around anymore). It's definitely five star dining and service- and price!

I popped up for a quick drink in the bar as it was recommended as a great place to watch the sun go down; I missed that but the lights of downtown Anchorage were really pretty. The margarita was good: the burger ($16) was great and the service was friendly. I saw lots of couples going for both smart meals... More

Expensive, difficult to secure a reservation. True. But once you are seated-the experience begins. Fabulous presentation, fabulous service, fabulous surroundings-relaxed. Occupied the table for hours-no pressures. The food was not extraordinary, but certainly good. I love it here, and will return again when in Anchorage. The time we spent was well worth the trouble and expense.

This is an up scale restaurant with beautiful views. Food was delicious and prepared as ordered. The staff was professional and did not attempt to push you out or along. Would eat here again.

We had been anticipating catching up with Anchorage friends for some time and their suggestion of the Crow's Nest as a location for dinner looked great. We were staying in the hotel and the menu looked fantastic. The evening before I had passed up the opportunity for a crab fest at a hotel some distance away expecting to see fresh... More
