The ramen and sushi rolls were all excellent. The food was hot and fresh and the service was good. Generous portions as well.

A week before my grandmother's 97th birthday, we talked with owners about reserving two tables for lunch. They said no problem. The following week the owner calls and tells us that they actually don't do reservations for lunch but if we could come in at...12:30 instead of 1 as they open up at 12:30 so they will not be holding tables for a half hour. I totally got their dilemma so we moved it back to 1:30 instead, allowing them the ability to turn those tables in an hour. they then proceeded to drill me about not being late. I stated that we would not be late and asked if we should just go somewhere else; they said no. Long story short, they call me on the Friday before to say they had a family emergency and their restaurant would be closed on Saturday. So sad, but wait, I had a fishy feeling so I called them on Saturday while having lunch somewhere else only find out that they were actually open and did not have a family emergency. Wow! If they are unethical about this, maybe they cut corners on the food.More
We wanted ramen for lunch and this place top the recommendation. We tried it and it didn’t disappoint. A must go restaurant if you’re in Anchorage.
I had the pork katsu (deep fried, breaded pork cutlet). The serving was huge and good: crunchy and moist texture. The rice that came with the dish was very good--real Japanese, short grain. That made me wish I had ordered ramen, since it might also...have been good. Custard tofu dessert was delicious. Staff was friendly. would go again if I'm in Anchorage.More
While traveling in Alaska we stopped in at the Japanese Restaurant Naruto /Noodle House. We were looking for sushi for my nephew and decided to stay after seeing the menu because we were tired and hungry. This was our first mistake. Our waitress had a...hard time communicating with us when questioned about the various items on the menu. That should have been a red flag but we ordered anyway. When our food came out it looked good but as many of you know some kids are picky eaters and the flavor profile of the salad dressing and dish for my nephew were not to his liking. We sent the food back and and shared our three adult meals that were nothing special. I have had better and worst. My wife received the wrong dish but kept it any way. When the bill came we were charged for my nephews food which was sent back. When we asked to have it taken off the bill the young mans response was basically you ordered it you own it. We started to argue our case to no avail and we just paid the bill and wanted to get out of there. My advice to the owner is get some staff that can communicate with the customers and make sure your customers leave happy. If I was a local I wouldn't go back again. I wish the business all the best in the future and hope they treat future customers better.More
The atmosphere is nice. The food is amazing and made from scratch. I have to say I wasn’t expecting a place like this. I was brought here with a group of friends. They ordered ramen and udon. I ordered some chicken and salad. The orders...came fast, the food was good and the price was not bad at all. They have plenty of seating. The team work is superb and made for an easy and successful dinner. They cleaned the table and brought the check as we were done. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves at all the tables. I would recommend it for sure!More
Food was ok. We had spicy kimchi ramen, spicy tuna rolls and Katsu chicken. None of the meal were horrible but not the best we had either. The food was a bit flavorless and the rolls were quite ordinary.
The wife and I love Japanese food. We have just returned from Japan and this place is legit. Their noodles are delicous, their broth was awesome, the Katsu was Oishi Des! This is a true Ramen restaurant, We will officially become regulars!
We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We ordered ramen. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly. The owner came to check on how we were doing and we had a very nice chat. She brought us an unexpected dessert, and when she...saw how much we enjoyed it, she sent another one home with us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More
The first time I had a problem is when I wanted to order just curry and rice with no meat for my kids over the phone. I had been in a few tunes before and once order just curry and rice and I was charged...for each item individually which wasn't a big deal. Well when I tried to call in and order curry and rice they told me they couldn't make it for me. I mentioned that I had done it before and he told me he knew who I was, it was the same guy that's always there and had done it for us before, and he told me it was a one time thing and he wouldn't do it again. So I ask to pay for the meal with meat and for them to just leave the meat off. He wouldn't allow me to just buy it and leave the meat off even though the meat is cooked separately. And I wasn't asking for it to be discounted without the meat I just wanted them to take the meat out because we don't eat meat. They didn't even want to put the meat in a different container so that the meat wouldn't touch my kids food. Then I went on my birthday last week. Ordered the Curry Udon noodles which is a meatless entree (one of the few) and they put beef in it. When I brought it to their attention they took my food away and left me sitting there with no food for the rest of the meal. At the end of each meal they bring out complimentary custard. Everyone around us received the custard, even the table behind us which they made a point of telling them it was free because at first the refused it got custard. When I asked if we weren't receiving any custard after waiting a long time they brought us 2 custards instead of the 3 we were suppose to receive. I am the type of person that I don't post a review after one experience because I like to get a feel for a place, but I have been to this place more than once and have received bad service more than once. I'm not sure why my family has been treated this way since people give this place such good reviews but I was very dissatisfied with the service we got.More
I visit them more than a few times a week. I love their Naruto miso ramen and curry udon. They care their food they serve. The family owned and operated. Totally authentic. Naruto miso- halibut broth and pork broth are to die for. Hard boiled...eggs are not just ordinary eggs. They have good flavor and sliced pork also has home made flavor. Curry udon takes me back to what my mother used to make. Soup contains slices of beef, and veggies. Meat also has ginger and garlic flavor. I can tell they care their food they serve. The best Japanese noodle place in anchorage. Service is wonderful. Please stop by and have taste of authentic Japanese noodlesMore
This little gem serves ramen, udon, a limited sushi menu, and appetizers. The ramen is so tasty and the food comes out in a very timely manner. I recommend spicy kimchi ramen. Be sure yours comes with a Tasty Egg.
The noodles were just fine. Above average noodle house. Way better than dry noodles. Much better than Pho. Good comfort food on a cold day. I will go back.
We came after reading all the great ramen reviews and we have been craving for a bowl of authentic ramen for a long time. We were disappointed. We found the broth (both halibut and pork) rather salty, yet at the same time, lacking in the...richness of flavour that usually comes with ramen broth. Service was rather slow as well. It took a long time for the food to arrive, and also a long time to get the bill. It is not exactly cheap as well.More
Our group ordered very flavorful ramen, gyoza, and chicken. Large portions. They also offer Japanese soda. Friendly staff. Definitely worth trying.
