I was overseas for my 50th birthday away from my family in the Caribbean for 14 months, then, we all moved cats, lock, stock amd barrel to my hometown of Seattle. So OF COURSE, I had a birthday to make up for :-). We decided on lunch at the Space Needle not only because my Mom was pregnant with my... More

Went for the view and to continue our series of eating in all the revolving restaurants we find worldwide. The Space Needle is an iconic and historic structure therefore a potential "tourist trap", but actually not at all bad. Booking the Skycity restaurant also gives VIP/fast track access to the viewing gallery on the floor immediately above, with its tacky... More

Most of the time a restaurant on top of an icon might not serve the best food since one is mainly there for the view. However, this restaurant serves a brunch that matches any served in a great restaurant. The brunch menu has several choices for the starter (we had razor clam chowder (excellent), the entree -we chose Dungeness crab... More

Just drinks and an awesome desert. We were here and wanted to get desert but we're way to full. Came back to get the dry ice-ice cream. Love this place.

First things first . . . yes, it is very expensive. For lunch, it is $25/person minimum (because it includes the observation deck). The souvenirs, although plentiful, are pricey. That said, it was a wonderful experience to share with my daughter and step-daughter. The weather was good (for November), so we were able to see a good bit during the... More

The Space Needle is a Seattle Icon. On a clear day the views are amazing. If you want to skip the line, pay up for the VIP Pass. It's not that much more and in a busy day, it will save you a lot of time. Pair you visit with a stop at the Chihuly Glass Museum. His pieces are... More

The atmosphere here is everything you'd want it to be, with absolutely incredible rotating views of the city and a real feeling of everything being special and unique. The service was good but the food was only passable for the price, so you have to bear in mind that you're paying for the experience more than the food itself, which... More

I was there as part of a large group, and the Italian style food was very good and the service pleasantly efficient. No idea about the cost as I was there as a guest.

We were warned. Our excellent walking tour guide (Free Seattle Walking Tour) said that the Space Needle was overrated. But we thought that the offer of free access to the viewing deck if we ate lunch there made the high prices worth it. We made reservations for lunch at 2:00 p.m. on a Friday. We sat down to find that... More
