The food was delicious! Servings were ample! In fact, my husband and I shared the chicken burrito! Our only complaint was that the queso was soooo thick you had to cut it with a knife to eat it on a tortilla chip. Close proximity to the Woodland Park Zoo makes this a great place to grab a bite after enjoying... More

I stopped here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon, unsure what to expect as I live in Tucson and am accustomed to Sonoran-style Mexican food. The cuisine turned out to be Oaxaca based, which means that most dishes are spicy. This is likely considered a good attribute by most customers, but, for a variety of reasons, I need... More

I eat lunch here often. There is not much help during the lunch hour so one must be patient! But I go for the black bean soup and unique salsa. The salsa is very different and very flavorful. This is a go to place for me. As other reviewers have said, this is not a typical Mexican restaurant.

Met my family here for dinner. Service was quick and the food was not disappointing. The menu items were okay -- I have seen better selections in other Mexican restaurants.

Having recently moved to Seattle from eight years in Tucson, I do love Mexican food and hadn't had any since arriving in September. Imagine my delight at having driven past this restaurant tonight and decided to go in based on how the place looked from the outside and then discovered some truly FANTASTICO food! The dishes have typical names, but... More

This tiny restaurant in the Wallingford area is very popular and with good reason - the dishes are distinctive in flavor and vastly different from standard fare although they carry standard names. Try the rich, savory mole enchiladas...the chili rellenos (their most popular dish which in itself speaks for this food)..enjoy the spicy salsa with the crisp tortilla chips. The... More

I have to come back because they gave us a taste of thier chicken lentil soup. Delicioso! Chile relleno, carne asada, enchilada were all tasty and slightly different from the usual Mexican food. The cook said it was food from Guanajuato.

My son and I wandered into the Chili Pepper, not knowing what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. While the menu has several familiar dishes for those accustomed to Americanized Mexican fare, such as enchiladas, burritos and flautas, the real stars are the traditional dishes from central Mexico. The owner waited our table and was very laid back and... More

Terrible dinner. The service was laughable. We asked for more salsa (which was the best thing about this place), and she took our bowl and never returned. Appies were served without utensils, napkins, or plates. Our waitress went home in the middle of dinner. No drink refills offered. The food was even worse. Mole chicken was inedible. My wife's dish... More
