We stopped at Ray’s Boathouse for drinks and happy hour appetizers after a very invigorating beach walk on a cold January day. Drinks were well made and enjoyed by all. Let’s start with the chowder. All five of us had a cup. Even Peter, our newest Grandson, was given a small taste. It was wonderful, buttery, and full of clams... More

Enjoyed delicious mussels and clams for lunch with family friends amid the view of the calm waters of Pugent Sound. I hear on a clear day, you can see snow capped Mount Olympic.

Had occasion to meet one of the owners of this place in Ft. Worth. Looked at reviews and thought this is a must visit while in Seattle in January. January can be a great month for seafood -- especially oyster and crabs. Ordered crab and cocktails and dessert. Kept hoping it would get better and it just kept plugging along... More

The food here is great . The view is better seating on deck on sunny days or cozy indoor spot in stormy weather. Great salmon burger and chowder.

If you are looking for a Seattle legend, go to Ray's. This is a great place to take out-of-town guests, enjoy happy hour or celebrate a special occasion. The lower floor is more formal indoor dining or you can go upstairs for less formal dining, the bar, or dine out on the deck (weather permitting). The menu and food are... More

Picture this...you sit on the deck watching the sailboats and paddleboarders cruise by and the sun is shining bright, when the server brings the most delicious Caesar salad ever. Maybe it's a Bucket of Clams and Beer day or maybe it's a Seafood and Marguerita day. No matter what, you will feel so happy to be alive when you're here.... More

We were very disappointed in the limited menu. We were all set for seafood and this place used to be noted for it. Dungeness crab is in season and it was no where to be found. The service was very good and we had to have her go to the kitchen to see if they would make me a Crab... More

Ray's Boathouse is a real Seattle icon, and is a lot more open than before the renovations a decade ago (if it's been that long since you last were here). A lovely special occasion restaurant, with prices to match. The service is quite nice, and the food quality excellent. However there were a few small items that one would care... More

Happy hour at Ray's. Decent HH menu-prawns, Caesar salad, calamari, etc.-$5 house wines. We had the prawns (average) and 2 orders of Manila clams in a white wine sauce (we don't like to share clams). Every single clam of my dish had grit, but the other dish was fine. The white wine sauce was really good, however. The plate of... More
