We took our retired Dad here for lunch on a sunny day. I've been to this restaurant many times in my life as I was raised in Ballard. The view is always good. Especially on a sunny day. My Cod and chips were just right. My Dad has the Crabcake sandwich and thought it was pretty good. My husband thought... More

Our group was a party of eight and it was a beautiful sunny day. All of us ordered something different and all the dishes were good with a view to match.

It had been a few years since visiting, so I knew the prices, but really thought the seafood would be a bit more adventuresome. Our visiting companions thought it was excellent. My clam chowder was not up to the level of Chinook's or Ivar's. My pasta with prawns, had very little flavor, but was a big price. On a Friday... More

My daughter and son-in-law and my new grand baby ate at this restaurant. Luca, the baby, was sound asleep throughout the whole meal. This was a thank you dinner for me because I was helping take care of my two month old Grandson Luca. Their menu was extensive with some delightful seafood choices. I decided to try the Rock Fish... Our first night of a weekend getaway and we are returning to Ray's after a lapse of 25 years. Hmmm - don't feel like old folks. Friendly valet parking and an okay, if a bit unenthusiastic greeting for our reservation in the Cafe. Nice window seat in the spacious open upper level. We start with drinks, mine a local microbrew... More

I had a great happy hour and dinner at Rays. Drinks were nice and appetizers very good. Clam chowder, clams and Cesar salad were perfect. Staff was great; quick and polite. I will be back when in Seattle.

The menu was relatively small with few choices but the preparation of each item was absolutely amazing. Prices are definitely on the high side. This was our "splurge" of the vacation.

My family has been dining here for generations. This visit didn't disappoint. Beautiful view at dusk with seals in the water. My beet salad and clams were excellent. My friend's scallops were cooked perfectly. Nice wine list. It looks like they offer complimentary valet parking now, but no self-respecting Seattle native is concerned by a little rain. Recommended.

Certainly, the reviews of this cafe are mostly very good; however, our experience may not be representative of their usual quality. We made reservations for a late lunch upstairs and were seated quickly. The view is breathtaking even on a cloudy day. We ordered a bottle of wine and some fried calamari while we waited for another guest to arrive.... More

I wanted good fish and we got it. The cider was a bit overpriced but the food and view were outstanding
