The location is quaint and the owner was absolutely lovely and sweet. The food was lukewarm and lacked flavor. It felt like we were eating leftovers. This place has a ton of potential but needs to work on execution.

This warm family run restaurant is the perfect night out to soothe your taste buds and soul. The mother daughter team spins up flavorful dishes and makes their guests feel right at home. My wife and I and another couple enjoyed Turkish wines, a variety of untypical Mideastern appetizers (try the spiced shrimp and tomatoes!) and sumptuous lamb entres while... More

Very friendly. Good selection of Turkish dishes, Efes beer, wines from Turkey. I could make a meal of the appetizers, but the entrees were also yummy + I had to leave a little room for baklava. Tiny spot, reservations are wise, especially on a weekend.

The owner takes great pride in her place, her brother is often in the back cooking. We come here often for the Azuka and Lamb. They are our favorites. If there is a special take advantage of it! I have never been disappointed when they have one. Sadly their special is often something on the menu, but if it's not...get... More

Refreshing change from the overly oiled and Americanized 'Turkish food' found elsewhere in Seattle. The 'manti' was reminiscent of homemade Turkish food. Over time, we have tried almost all the appetizers - double yum! This restaurant is not as great as it once was 3 years ago, but still worth the trip. Still slightly pricey too.

Two couples mid week... reserved on Opentable... we chose a nice table in the front. Service was super friendly... not too quick... attentive when it occurred. One person took care of the room. The menu is straightforward. Four of us shared an app and each had one big entrée which included some salad... very ample... some to take home. We... More

We went to this restaurant with friends last night and will definitely be returning. The hostess was informative about the wine and entree choicex and gracious as she bought us hors d'oeuvres and our entree. The food was very good and the ambience of the place that of a well-loved neighborhood restaurant.

This is another of our neighborhood places, but of a different character. Not so hip, not so noisy. Not a full bar. A very nice Turkish restaurant. Good hummus, babaganoush (ok, that's how it is spelled, but I hope you get the idea), shish kebabs and so on. Very friendly. Small and cozy. I particularly enjoy the appetizers and could... More

The hummus rainbow appetizer is the stuff dreams are made of. If anyone had tried to convince me I would crave beet or sweet potato hummus I would have laughed. But I do!! Ask the friendly lady if a dish has garlic in it. "This a Turkish restaurant. EVERYTHING has GARLIC!" she responds. She'll also tell you what you "better... More

There is nothing that I didn't love about Bistro Turkuaz. My partner and I came here for dinner last week and from wine to appetizer to main course, our senses were delighted with the flavorful Turkish adventure. Our server was absolutely delightful, friendly, and offered useful suggestions on what to have for dinner, and when she found out that we're... More

Description
Join us at Bistro Turkuaz for an evening of authentic Turkish food!

From its roots in Central Asia, the Turkish cuisine became rich and varied, a reflection of the journey to Asia Minor and the great expanse of the Ottoman Empire. At our bistro, you will experience a flavorful culinary tradition with elements of Greek, Persian, and Middle Eastern dishes.

Bistro Turkuaz also tells the story of a valuable Persian gem that was traded in the bazaars of Turkey in the 16th Century and then sold to Europeans by Venetian merchants. The French mistakenly named this blue-green gem turquoise, meaning Turkish.

We invite you to share the colorful history and flavors of Turkish food with your friends and family in the warm atmosphere of the Bistro Turkuaz.
