We had a late dinner at Ray's in the Sheraton resort and were very pleased with the quality of the food and service. We shared a Caesar salad, good sized portions, lightly dressed, great flavor and texture. I had the grilled swordfish (catch of the day) with rice, bok choi and mushrooms while my wife had the fresh papperdelle pasta... More

We were staying at the Sheraton and this was the only "lively" part of the hotel! Sadly by 10pm it's quiet here..... The food was okay nothing special for the price, same to be said for the drinks. BUT having said that it does offer a good albeit brief show of the Rays and it's good for watching the Waves... More

Wonderful view of the ocean while you eat dinner. Ray's is part of the Sheraton-Kona Resort. They have a good wine list and interesting dinner selections. It was very breezy so bring a jacket for after dark. The entire restaurant is more or less outdoors. We shared a appetizer, entree, dessert, a bottle of wine and after dinner drinks. It... More

We had the breakfast buffet for 8 days and dined in the restaurant twice during the week we stayed at the Sheraton. The breakfast buffet selection was good to very good, but lacked much variety from day to day. The buffet was included in our package price (hotel, car, breakfast). One evening we had ribs for dinner and were so... More

We booked a table for our last night on Kona. We sat by the ocean for the sunset and it was beautiful. The staff are attentive and accommodating. The food is expensive, but is all locally sourced and cooked to perfection. The menu is too pricey for regular dining but great for a special night out.

We were a group of 8 and we got a reservation at the last minute. The restaurant is open air and has great ocean views. The food was great but quite pricey. service was excellent.

We called and made reservations and arrived early. We were told that the time on the reservation would be about when we would be seated, however, we could take a pager and if something came available, we would be called. The time on the reservation quickly approached and passed. We returned our pager and continued to wait another five minutes... More

You definitely are paying for the view, but it is a nice one. We came to enjoy a light dinner with drinks during a sunset. For what it is - decent but average hotel food and drink - it is quite expensive (~$11-$20 per drink, $15 for apps, $25-$50 for entrees). Food is decent but wouldn't be considered fine dining... I ate here four nights last week Surf was up so very dramatic crashing of waves on rocks. The lower patio is just an awesome experience. The chicken was delicious and save room for the macadamia nut cream pie.

We stayed at the Sheraton resort that this restaurant is part of so unfortunately we had too many meals at this place simply for convenience reasons. Was the food good? Yes, it was. Was it amazing? No, it wasn't. It's definitely way overpriced for the service/food it offers, but pretty much pay for one thing - gorgeous views of the... More
