We ate here at lunch time on our ski holiday. It's well situated just above the middle station of the gondola. The waiter that served us was friendly and professional. My wife had Goulash soup and I had Gröstl both of which were of excellent quality. Our after dinner coffee was delicious. My fine gastronomic experience was followed by well... More

We have eaten here many times over the years during ski visits although admittedly our last visit was a few years ago now. Our group sat indoors and it took ages for someone to take our order and even longer for the food to be delivered and to pay the bill. Wasn't just us, other guests sitting nearby were getting... We called in here after the O.H. strained his back coming down from the top of the mountain, and he just couldn't ski any more. We were resigned to paying for an expensive rescue for him from the mountain, but decided to have something to eat and drink first. Excellent gulaschsuppe and some wine, but he still wasn't up to... while hiking up to the Kitzbuehler horn out of St Johann this is one of the first huttes you walk by, not as great and entertaining as the Harschbichl hutte higher up but still a nice place to stop

Stopped here most days for lunch. Great selection of food with friendly service. Meat and chest platter very good value and big enough for two.

Do not go here unless you have time to waste. We had 7 for lunch and first were told not to sit in one area because that was being closed which is fine. So I thought we would be ok as every other mountain hut we had been to were very attentive. We arrived at 1:50 and after asking twice... More

you really have to stay over night to appreciate this gem. during regular skiing hours you might just notice a beautiful, cozy lodge in the middle of the slopes, the food is always great, but at night you can book a 3 or 5 course gourmet menue (3 course is included for over night guests) and (if you are lucky)... We stopped for a drink In the middle of our walk from the top to the bottom of the mountain. The tables on the terrace were set for a big lunch party, glasses sparkling in the sun. We were directed to a line of leisure chairs overlooking the lower slopes of the mountain, across the valley to the hills beyond.... More
