This used to be our favorite roast beef poboy place in the world. Every time we go to NO we try to get to this place quick. Now they've changed to a not so good coffee shop with cold sandwiches. Service is almost non existent and they are a little weird... not sure I'd go as far as to call... More

Ignatius Eatery has recently become a coffee shop rather than a full service restaurant. While other restaurants in the vicinity are bustling Ignatius is not. They have a limited menu but the sandwiches are big and filling. They also have a bagel with egg and choice of meat which is available all day - and is delicious! I hope they... More

Great food prices during Happy Hour. All kinds of local fare for all kinds of folks. Great setting (On cooler days we sat outside, but inside seating is very good as well), very good service.

I was eager for my daily espresso at a local place other than Starbucks. This was horrible in every way: poor coffee, weird service, creepy atmosphere. Please avoid.

Ignatius is now a coffee shop. I can't comment on the taste of the coffee because it was so outrageously overpriced! First off they don't have prices on their menu which is something I never understand. My husband and I ordered a 16oz chai, an americano and a $1 day old muffin. The total came up to $12.80. I was... Friendly, comfortable place to hang out and drink $2.00 martinis on a rainy afternoon. Great food - try the Mac and cheese. Yummy!

One member of party was in a wheelchair. The staff was very accommodating. It's a casual place and the food was very good. Prices are very reasonable.

My group of 15 women had lunch at Ignatius Eatery on Mother's Day. First, arranging for this lunch was easy with the staff, they were all really accommodating and made us all feel very comfortable. Our server, Osla, was excellent, getting all of us taken care of very quickly. And, the food was so good. My pesto pasta was prepared... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
