My husband and I just finished a carriage tour of the Quarter. The driver recommend the Stanley. He said it was a few dollars higher but spot on. He was wrong about the cost (it was in line with the other restaurants in the area), but the food was spot on! I was tempted to go back again but thought... More

Our party of 6 had 5 eggs Benedict and 1 hash. No one had a crumb of food left on there plate. The house made boudine and hollandaise was out of this world. Also the corned beef hash was delicious. However breakfast was $15 a plate not including drink. We thought it was worth tje price but others might think... More

After living in New Orleans for several years and returning for a quick trip we decided to try Stanley's . The French toast was really awful...The bread wasn't good at all. Everything else was just ok. New Orleans has so many amazing places so skip this and go to Elizabeth's, Surrey's,ruby Slipper, or Camelia Grill.

Second time we tried to go here, we finally got in without a wait. Good service, awesome burgers. Order of fries fed 3 people and the bacon on the bacon cheeseburger was thick and crispy...perfect!

We chose Stanley's to try for breakfast. It certainly proved to be a good choice. Stanley's is on the site of our favorite bakery that never reopened following Hurricane Katrina. Food and service were good and the location is right in the square. We timed it just right. We had no wait but there was a long wait when we... More

The waiter was very nice, but I have had a better breakfast at IHOP. My wife and I both had the Stanley Classic Breakfast. The cajun potatoes were room temperature and tasted like they had been doused in Lawry's salt, the scrambled eggs were your basic scrambled eggs, the toast was toast. Bacon was good. But $12.50 apiece for that?... More

First, our waiter took the time to explain and recommend the best way for us to get to The Garden District. We found everything he told us to be spot on. The food was fantastic. I loved the shrimp/oyster combo Po Boy. The bananas foster french toast looked awesome as did the cajun benedict. I wish we had more time... More

My wife and I went there for breakfast. Nice setting. Food mediocre. And a little overpriced, but I guess that's what you get right on Jackson Square.

We eat breakfast here every time we are in NOLA. We love the vibe and the food. The omelet sandwich is a standout and the Beaux Bridge Benedict is beyond words (especially with some fried oysters). Coffee is great and they make a great Bloody Mary.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
