Their breakfast is amazing! I had a seafood omelette (Shrimp and crab) that was so delicious, and the service was so warm and friendly. Great suggestion from a local!

We had early lunch here one day during our stay in New Orleans on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We were seated quickly and we were able to get started on eating right away. The lunch buffet includes sweet tea, a salad bar and...More

LOVED this place, a local told us to check it out and I'm so glad we did. The food was phenomenal, excellent customer service, and nifty decor. There was no wait and this is definitely a certified hidden gem. We took the street car down...More

I reviewed this little corner diner last time I was in NOLA and it’s still as good. In the Treme district, mostly locals ( including a couple of police officers, always a good sign) eating there. Great chicken, gumbo, smothered beans, okra, salad, bread pudding.

Our first stop in New Orleans which was recommended by out Uber driver. So glad we did. Amazing warm atmosphere and the food. Oh my. Gumbo, fried chicken, Mac and cheese. Two full plates and I️ wish I️ could’ve kept eating.

First meal of the most recent trip to NOLA. Walking distance from our AirBNB, with exactly the kind of local vibe we were looking for. The reviews all said the buffet was the way to go for lunch, so we followed suit. The fried chicken...More

The food is great and very reasonably priced. However, the walls and the staff tell stories that are real sustenance for a socially-conscious individual who is open to feeding. Podcasts on issues of the day are also broadcast from here sometimes.

No frills but none needed, gumbo was the best we had on our visit and we ate gumbo 3 or 4 times already by the time we got to Lil Dizzy’s. Staff is so friendly, buffet was priced reasonably too. Really glad a local told...More

My husband and I went there for lunch. We had the buffet and it was delicious. Our waitress was really sweet and very helpful. We will definitely go back when we return to New Orleans.

That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi
that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere
else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the
streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered
to be the very best of New Orleans culture and
tradition is, put simply, just how people go about
their daily lives in this historic part of town. As
one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods
