Best pita bread ever and complimentary. We had the haloumi, kofta, cauliflower hummus , lamb ragu hummus and a salad. All were delicious. Finished with the cheesecake dessert and filo dessert with passion fruit. Didn’t love the filo one.

The food and service were both excellent. The only thing we did not like was the sloppy attire of the manager. All the wait staff were in neat uniforms, but the manager (wearing a sport coat) had his shirt untucked, which unfortunately detracted from our...More

I don’t think it’ll be a problem. The dishes are all for sharing so you can decide how much or how little to order. And I would recommend going at lunch. Enjoy!

Shaya is an innovative restaurant with a warm and welcoming approach to the dining culture inspired by Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli upbringing. Chef Alon sees modern Israeli food as a grand mosaic, drawing influence from North Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Turkey and Greece. The food of Alon's heritage represents a country rich in diversity of cuisine and culture, inspired by years of tradition while also looking to its contemporary future. The menu at Shaya reflects the ongoing evolution of Israeli food, while celebrating the abundance of Louisiana and Alon's close relationships with local farmers, which he has fostered through his ongoing work with the Crescent City Farmer's Market. In keeping with the the ethos of all of the Besh restaurants, Shaya uses seasonal, responsibly- and locally-sourced ingredients.
