Wanted to try this place for a while and finally went to Sunday Brunch. Rain threatened so we opted to forego the delightful patio and eat inside. Limited menu still had many tempting choices. Husband picked baked oysters, which arrived plump and delicious. I had...More

This restaurant had good food and an upbeat 20's-30's crowd. The courtyard is very nice. Unfortunately the lack of service ruins it. We had a reservation which we called to move up. They accommodated us graciously. It took 20 minutes before a server appeared at...More

We went with another couple and had no problem being seated. We did ask to change because we were seated next to a bunch of loud kids. Drinks arrived promptly but dinner took awhile. Manyvin our party have the pulled pork and said it was...More

Cafe Amelie is tucked away, but still within 5 minutes of Bourbon St. The patio area was great and felt very intimate. We thought that the inside was good, but did feel a bit stuffy and the courtyard is definitely the way to go. Food...More

The food and the service at the Cafe Amelie were excellent but the best thing about the restaurant is the courtyard. We came for dinner at the end of May and the evening was usually cool. It was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the...More

Unfortunatelly my experience in this place was not as I was expecting. The food not bad but the service was the worst ever! We had to wait an hr for the food that we asked for. My coffee got cold for the waiting, I asked...More

We recently enjoyed brunch at Cafe Amelie. It was a tough choice to decide if we should dine inside or out. The courtyard is beautiful, but the heat and humidity convinced us to eat inside. It is really a small place, but there was no...More

It was our first meal in town and it was awesome. We got the sunny eggs and grits (?) brunch dish, it was perfect. It will be hard to beat. Service was good and was seated outside in beautiful courtyard. Did not have reservation but...More

A couple of people recommend Cafe Amelie to us, and we are glad we went! We sat out in the lovely courtyard. The food and service were great! Favorites: the creamy shrimp and grits and the gumbo. We definitely return!

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Hello. No, there is no dress code. It's very casual, but you could certainly dress up if you wanted. You wouldn't be out of place either way, casual or dressy. It is just so one of those: 'just relax and be you and do what... More

Description
Please note that the courtyard is seated on a first come, first serve basis. A reservation does not guarantee seating in the courtyard but we will have a table available inside our beautiful, historic carriage house. We normally allow reservation space for only 50% of the dining room to accommodate walk-ins. Additionally, in order to accommodate all of our guests who are waiting to be seated, we are only able to seat your party once everyone has arrived. Nestled in the historic 150-year-old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House on Royal Street in the French Quarter, Cafe Amelie is a rare combination of superb Louisiana fare served in a lush, enchanting New Orleans courtyard setting. Cafe Amelie has a full bar offering an array of signature cocktail creations. Cafe Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.
